On May 22, 2021, I brought to the attention of Zakar, who works for Factory Direct Windows and Doors, my bedroom window installed leaks. He requested a picture of it to schedule an appointment with his installers to see the problem at hand. I did just that; I sent him the picture, the guy came out and caulked the window. My bedroom window is a three-wind type of window in one frame, so I am referring to the left window where there is no Air Conditioner in the window. This leak comes from a bad install from the beginning, which this company fails to acknowledge. The installer advised me to paint it after he called himself fixing it with caulk because; they were not responsible for doing that. The next issue with the same three window setup has another leak in the middle window. I contacted Zakar again sent pictures again; Zakar sent the guy out again and advised me it was my air conditioner in the middle window, causing the rain to leak inside. He says this window is not made for an air conditioner to hang. What? When they came to take measurements and sell me windows, I had an AC in the window, and no one told me that. Now, I have this leak, and you tell me? How wicked to tell me after the fact that your product cannot hold an air conditioner unit, and to be honest, I have never heard of any window that could not have an ac unit in it. So, no repair there. I took care of this myself and fixed the window to become resistant to rain coming in, and that is working out. I painted the window frame, and all was good. Lastly, I now notice the frame is falling apart, pulling away from the window by the left window. I call Zakar again, and this time, he simply blames the AC in the middle window for the damage and refuses to come out anymore regarding this window. Zakar says I am the only person with this problem, so he believes I am the problem at this point. He does not own up to the problem from the beginning. I repeat, there was no AC in the window initially.
