    i gave it a star bc it issued a refund as soon as i requested it. i'm guessing because i used my bank for this transaction instead of their ****** otherwise, it's a horrible place to host your business. i purchased a domain name from them, with hosting 1. on payment, their merchant forced me into a ****** option. this is plain and simple fraud. i had specifically selected my bank and provided my bank information. why is it forcing the transaction through ****** 2. my payment was not processing, so i used a different browser and a different email address for the transaction. again, the merchant was forcing me to go through p a y p a l, until i troubleshooted the issue and had to tell it specifically not to use that option. now, i am getting messages from inter server .net:VERIFICATION REQUIRED - Please verify your domain name(s) as soon as possible that i "Recently you registered, transferred, or modified the contact information for one or more of your domain name(s)"no, i didn't. i haven't changed anything. i sent management@inter server .net a complaint about this, and didn't get a reply. nothing. like no one is monitoring that account. ultimately, i was not successful with my project. i actually published pages, but they were not pushing out. i just asked for a refund

    No idea why they have such bad reviews. Seems to be mainly user error and misunderstanding. I, for one, have had nothing but extremely positive experience with Interserver. I got an amazing deal on my dedicated server and storage server from them and couldn't be happier. Support is very responsive as well.

    I've dealt with a number of bad server companies in the past but these guys take the cake. First, they gave me a server that hadn't had its firmware updated in so long that the **** remote control was non-functional. Then when I brought that up they moved me to an even OLDER server with its own hardware issues. They don't let you cancel service through their portal (or make it impossible to find) and when I requested multiple times through support, they insisted I had to give them my PIN and I have zero clue what PIN they are talking about. They refused to cancel and just billed me again. Now I'm back wasting even MORE time with these criminals. Seriously, do not ignore the reviews here. AVOID AT ALL COST. Next stop for me to my credit card company to dispute the claim, something I've done maybe twice in a decade.

    WARNING TO ALL FUTURE CUSTOMERS and BBB: This web hosting provider does not inform people that they will take your money and will never give it back even when you cancel all of their services and go to a competitor. Only $10.60 is at issue here. Here is what needs to be made public in my complaint against Interserver. They offer a pre-pay credit service where you can pay ahead of time for any service from that hosting provider. So that means you wouldn't have to pay monthly like if something happened to you and you couldn't be at the helm of your account, then you can prepay for the web hosting to keep the website up for months or years. Let's say you go to the hospital and are unable to timely pay the bills, the pre-pay option would allow you to pay for months of bills to be paid. Here is the issue. They don't tell you upfront that when you pay for prepaid credits, that you cannot get it back as a refund. So that means if this service treats you like $#it, you want to go to a competitor, then the default move is asking for a refund on all unused credits aka prepaid money. They will tell you that you are not going to get a refund on the prepay credits. So they are essentially holding your prepay credits hostage. They don't tell you that once you pay for money to be set up to prevent your website from being suspended by not being able to timely pay an invoice for whatever medical reason or anything, the pre-pay money can be used to keep paying for the invoices. They don't tell you that they will never give you back that money, any money which is unused in your balance. I have evidence proving this and their own statements from customer service. They did agree to refund my account of $60.00 but I have yet to see that in my bank account. My only source of income is SSI disability. They will take your money and never give it back, even when you go to a competitor. They are holding the money hostage. This is insane.

    I've been a customer of ********************** for well over ten years, and I've been slowly and painfully migrating my various websites to other hosts because Interserver has proven themselves to be maddeningly unreliable. All of my sites have gone down for hours and hours on multiple occasions, and after demanding an explanation, I was essentially told "whoops, we unplugged a machine and didn't realize it was important". Nearly every support ticket begins a chain of two, three, four, even SEVEN different outsourced support staffers replying to you without reading your ticket or understanding the problem. In all of my years, I've only seen evidence of there being a single knowledgeable in-house support staffer that tickets get escalated to, and half the time he just ignores requests and questions. These aren't a few isolated incidents, but rather a consistent pattern that I've observed over more than a decade of how this company operates. Sites go down randomly, they don't care how that affects the customer, their support staff is an absolute circus of an uncoordinated outsourced group and a single expert who seems to regard customers with contempt, and their own website is littered with bugs and incorrect information that they have no interest in correcting. Interserver is cheap, but it's not worth it.

    I believed this company to be top rated, so I paid in advanced for two years of hosting. Later on I decided that I did not like WordPress and their proprietary solutions. I asked if they can refund and cancel my hosting. They cancelled my hosting right away and said that they can not refund me any money for the portion I did not use. I paid in advanced for two years and got about 3 months of use. I do not recommend this company. I tried explaining the situation, but they have no mercy in me. I will try to spread this news on ******** It is not right in my opinion.

    My website is down again and Interserver could care less.My development team has had to re-install the site multiple times. Their company only provides bandaid solutions but refuse to provide permanent solutions. You are required to submit a ticket that will never go to the same person, so the tech will never have a comprehensive understanding of the problem. In my case, one tech says we cannot remove cPanel and weeks later senior admin tells me the only solution is to remove CPanel. Senior management doesn't acknowledge that this is the exact opposite of what I had previously been told. Working with Interserver is an exercise in frustration. Save yourself the headaches and find a company that offers phone, not ticket support. I am so sorry that I ever did business with this company.
