On May 8 2023, I went into *** of Edison in ** to do a service of an oil change and filter changes on the vehicle. Then on May 21 2023 my car broke down, my dashboard stated drivetrain malfunction however stated to continue driving. When I reached my destination, I parked my car and went into my shift. When I finished my shift and went to start the car, the car would not start at all. The car was then towed to *** of Edison in **. After 2 to 3 days approximately they contacted me telling me that the engine blew out and that I would need a new engine. The cost ?? ******. I have warranty on the engine with ***. I stated that to them. The warranty responds back and denies to fix the engine. The reason stating that I did not do an oil change in the year 2022. I in fact did an oil change but not with ***. I have proof of receipt showing that I had done an oil change on 4/1/2022. I submitted that proof of documentation of the oil change and the warranty again denied to fix the engine. When I asked why the decline again when I submitted what was required of me, *** stated that it was internal information and could not disclose that information to me. When I asked for guidance or guidelines as to why the decline, *** again refused to disclose. All they stated to me was lack of maintenance on the vehicle even though documentation was provided. All other services on the car has been with *** which they have record of. And I have provided the oil change documentation. It took *** a week to let me know about the second refusal from the warranty and that was me reaching out to them to try to get information on what happened with the warranty. They are requesting ***** dollars from me to fix an engine that I just serviced with them and then suddenly the car breaks down. I provided all documents that was requested of me and yet they deny to fix the problem. All I have done is maintain my car. They did something to my vehicle and are accusing me. They are not honest/forthcoming

Be careful with your loner or they will pin damage on you and you did not do it. I inspected the loner. When I got in the car, I got situated. I was just out of their complex and saw a cracked windshield. I took a pic, called, and texted this damage. (It was low on the windshield and hard to see from the outside). The girl I called said she would report it to the loan department, NEVER DID. The text was not "received" yet he got all our other texts with no problem. When I returned it I told the valent guy about it and how I reported it. After I dealt with the service manager, he came running out as I was getting into my car. Stopping me to say, "Hey the windshield is cracked!" I stated I texted you and called about it and I was told no problem. "We would have never loaned you the car in that condition". We you did I said, and as I stated before, I reported it. He says, "Well I will just have to check the cameras!" I said "go right ahead and check." Mind you, this was the second loner of the week, the first was a NEW transmission put in, (2022 X5 with only ****** miles on it) Second time was for the left heating control panels don't work unless the car is warmed up for a half hour or over 50 degrees, which turned into getting a new MODULE. All are under warranty thank God. The kicker to this story is when I told them about this issue I was told I did not drive it enough and since it is under ****** In a year, it causes it to power down more and it takes time to power everything up. REALLY. Since when driving it under ****** a year will cause a $70,000 car not to work? LAMEST excuse ever. I think they were trying to say it is probably not fixable! I CANNOT MAKE THIS C*** UP! I will not go back to this dealer again. I will try the Springfield one. I wish I looked at BBB sooner to see all the 1-star ratings this dealer got! Going backward, let me add how miserable the girl I dealt with 2 do the ** for the loaner. She was nasty and cold.
