  Once they arrived for pickup they said we exceeded quoted amount by 3x (******* ********************** quoted), * that the cost had risen to $16k. They have worked w/ ******* before w/ customers having the same complaints as me, so Im wondering if ******* * **** work together to scam people already stressed out * short on time? Then they insisted on either $10k cash/cashiers check before they would touch anything. Being in a tight spot with a move across 7 states we had no choice but to pay the $10k, $2.5K of which was for a 2-3 day expedited delivery. It took 5 days for our belongings to arrive w/ zero communication * updates. They pulled up at 7pm w/ a completely different truck than had left our previous home. The movers, only one of which barely spoke any English, insisted I sign the receipt saying that I acknowledge receipt * that I pay the remaining $6k before they would open the truck for me to confirm that it had my belongings. I requested to speak to their supervisor, Mohaneed (Mo), who confirmed the truck would not be opened unless I signed the receipt * paid the $6k. Cops were called * Mo * the movers relented * opened the truck. I was still required to pay the $2.5k expedited move fee. Mo brought up being a holiday weekend, which I understand, but dont make promises * charge $2.5k to do something knowing its a holiday weekend. Small claims is my only option. When our items were moved from the original truck to the one that showed up, they must have been thrown carelessly! Boxes were upside down * obviously tossed around, w/ damaged goods inside. My ******* Grill was badly dented * my roll around tool box had a 5 caster ripped off it. We purchased insurance prior to the move, but given our experience with **** * Mo its probably another cash grab/scam thats not worth pursuing. **** * Mo * ******* will lie * say anything to get the contract, once they have it thats when theyll take advantage of what to many people is an already stress filled * time sensitive move!

  THIS IS GUY THE WORES'T CUSTOMER EVER U DEAL WITH AND HES VERY LIYER AND VERY DISRESPACTFULL. ALSO HE WASN'T AT PICKUP AND IF WE WHERE KNOWS WE NEVER MOVE HIM. EVERYONE EXPLAINED EVERY THINK TO THEM AND THEY AGREED AND SIGNED THE CONTRACT AND WHEN WE ARRIEVD AT DELIVERY HE CHANGE HIS MIND.

  **DO NOT USE** We contacted Sala regarding a move from ** to ** we were asked for amount of furniture including dimensions which we gave the total came to about 1400 so we booked and put down a 500$ deposit. Moving day came and they were two hours late, they sent two college aged kids with a Penske truck with a Sala Moving sign duct taped onto it.. half way through the move they told me I needed to buy more cubic feet on the truck to fit my couch, bed , coffee table and night stand, all items that were already in the contract and the cubic feet thing was something no one told us about we agreed since he said it would only be a few extra hundred dollars. With everything loaded they told us it would be 4k MORE. We bickered and eventually I had them unload the items that went over our cubic feet so we only paid the 500 or so due upon pick up. The movers also demanded a tip and would not leave until I gave them one. I ended up leaving my couch for my parents and throwing out the other furniture and my bed.. Drop off went smoother the 3rd party that came (we also didn't know they used 3rd parties) this time was very professional and careful with my belongings. At the end the amount of $425 was listed but because the first guys were sloppy it was mistaken as $925 the guy called Mo and Mo screamed and cursed at me saying we owe him $925, he didn't even bother checking! After almost 2 hours of getting verbally assaulted by Mo and getting the run around it was resolved that we did only owe $425. I was so stressed from dealing with these people I ended up with an ulcer! Mo had promised to get the couch down to me and it's been 3 months and no word from him. This moving company bait and switches people and doesn't make anything right.

  dear *** and maam.this lady we moved her from ** to ** and we charge her only 925$ for the hall move and then she asked us to move couch for free for her or she will do that and now she said we scamed her so please if you can find move cheaper in that just let us knows. and now she start writing bad about us. ******

  Missing items several of my totes that were packed full are now half empty. Was forced to give cash after they loaded my stuff and I paid with a credit card. My stuff was told it would be delivered on a day and a week later it finally is getting dropped off with no notice. If I could I would have left negative stars. They were hired out from ***************** and that was a whole big mistake there. I even had to call them to come back to get items that didnt belong to me. When I ask packing I thankfully made a sheet of everything in each tote and was able to see what was missing. They even took some of my clothes including undergarments.

  Never happened and this customer she moved from ** to ** so even if we pickup in airplane we will never could deliver her after one day and she attempts she paid cash and she dont also all her belongings was delivered and her friend was there she never was at the time of drop off. Also dear maam we always tell the customer 7-10 business days for delivery. Your delivery was after few days because of the trucks and we have to drive 10h **** by the dot regulations. Thank u

  Not all of my stuff was delivered my totes were gone through and stuff taken out of them along with damage to the totes and table and chest. A brand new tv cracked.

  I had the same experience- I had a broker with an estimate-(Relocation Express)*******, **. When Sala Movers( **) arrived, they claimed I more than doubled my cubic feet allowed. their verbal quote was more than 2.5 times the original price. In addition, they insisted they follow me to an ATM for $400.00 in cash as they said the distance exceeded the allowed which was a blatant lie. Then when a different ************** with my delivery arrived in ** all the boxes were crushed. My $5000.00 adjustable mattress was damaged. The only solid point was the long-distance driver told me the truth. I was actually under the allowed cubic feet not over. The first two men basically held my items hostage and forced me to sign for all the bogus overage charges. We are filing a complaint with the *** again this mover. DO NOT EVER USE SALA ******************************* OR RELOCATION EXPRESS IN POMPANO ,**. They are most disreputable...

  They charged me over double what I was quoted! $4200 more on the spot and I had no choice or I would lose my $2200 deposit. They tried to charge me $600 per step over 7 steps. I called my broker and it was only supposed to be a single charge of $600 if over 10 steps. Then the guy tried to double the price again for storage which was supposed to be free for up to 30 days. Thank god I called my broker again. They guy gave me a discount but said only if I gave him half ($400) in cash. Such a scam artist! Then when they delivered my stuff it was only one guy and there was so much damage to my furniture! I went to file a claim with the insurance they said they had and that was a scam too. The insurance company said they don't work with Sala anymore. Stay away from Sala Moving and Storage!

  this customer we moved him from ** to ** and we did very super good job for him and he changed his delivery address 2 time and we stored his items, and we give him very good service and he is complaining about damages, and we did provide him with our insurance provider, and they did handle everything for him so i don't know what we should do more.

  Oh my- I wish I saw some of these reviews before allowing Captain ********* to contract with ****. The delivery was ok; however, the pick up was out of a bad movie. The drivers called the afternoon before to pick up my 90+ year old mom's small amount of furniture to move to ********* saying they were arriving at 7:00p.m. that night! Reluctantly, I agreed to meet them at her apartment and thank God, I did not allow her to attend. These middle eastern men walked in to her place and looked at the manifest and blamed the broker for incorrectly prices- now in broken english "I need to negotiate with them." The drivers attempted to charge me for steps to the truck; larger boxes than what I agreed too; sharing the weight estimation was completely off (the final estimate was 1000lbs lighter than what I contracted for). After the one man went to the bathroom in the apartment ( yes they DO use the bathrooms and left it NASTY) they wanted an additional $3,120 where I laughed and called the broker. After much negotiations/yelling with dispatch I was " extorted" to pay an extra $900 where they wanted me to go use a cash machine. When I refused they agreed to take a card, but wanted to charge 7.5% service fee. I refused so they agreed to wave but wanted to take a picture of my Drivers License and Card. As I pulled them out and placed them down, I quickly pulled them back where apparently one got a pic off as "ironically" 2 random charges appeared on my account a few hours later forcing me to cancel my card. These "extortionists" kept on insisting I better tip them and it better be more than $40/person. I was thinking I need to just get them out of this home. I called/emailed Captain and they suggested filing a claim with "moving claims.net " where **** offered $125 for me to "go away"...I refused. I want a full refund and then they can offer something for the intimidation factor laid on by their movers plus the "possibility" of compromising my credit card. Complete Crooks!!!

  dear *** and ma'am.all this not true we never confect a customer to sign our ppw without they agree and never leave onsite without provide the customer copy of them contract. Also, our company opened last year, and we never did job for this customer daughter as they say.customer can say anything but the truth they have to say the truth and what what hard job our crew out there.

  This company is a SCAM!!!!! They came to my home a day late, kept calling and changing my times. They walk in my house and the first thing they wanted to do is take a s*** in my bathroom disgusting ?? they then talk Spanish in my home talking to there home base so I cant hear or understand them and they go on to writing down different prices and tried to tell me I owe them another $2,900 I told I am not paying that that was not my price they go on to tell me well then we arent moving you. I took a picture of their shirts and he got very mad and tried to grab my phone but that was the only thing that I had with the company name on it they say they work for Sala moving storage. They insisted I pay or they are leaving. Thank god they left I feel it could have turn into a very bad situation for me being in the home by myself with them. Thank god they did not take my belongs and pull a bigger scam on me. I will be calling the BBB to report this company and budget moving is who so called book through, I had no idea they were just brokers giving these moving jobs to these unprofessional scary scamming cons.

  dear *** and ma'am.we don't have ************ in my company also my crew never ask the customer to use bathroom this is one of our company rules also if the customer have more items what we should do just move them for free. This customer have the right to complain and we do have the right to refused moving them if they don't want to pay for additional items. customer thing we move them by item. our ********************** of the size they use in our truck. i hope you guys and the customer understand that. if broker lie to them why we have to deal with this.thank you.

  Shipped some of our stuff 3000 miles in the wrong direction and still have not helped ship them to the correct location. They gave us a number to file with their insurance company and that company said they do not have an existing relationship with ***** and denied the claim. We have been given the run around for over a month now. Do the right thing, we just want our stuff. I will not remove this review or stop until you make this right.

  DO NOT HIRE! Bait and switch. Most of my furniture is damaged. The home items were moved from is damaged. The apartment complex they were moved to is damaged. I was sold white glove treatment. They were supposed to reassemble all furniture but did not. Will not return calls. I have items that are not mine that I am certain someone wants.

  dear *** and ma'am this customer was pickup and deliver next day her pickup was on 29/07 and delivered on 07/30 and she received all her items and i don't know what she complains about. also, in her estimate didn't show she request white gloves serves also there was no damages in her items.

  Crooks! Manager Mo has the worst attitude. We paid MoveSafe a total of $6000 and was told we only needed to pay Sala $3500 when they arrived. They arrived, took 2 steps into our home, and told us we needed to pay them $12,000 more AND that did not include taking all of our items. Needless to say we showed them the door.

  This customer was book by the broker for hapf truck and we went to hi house we find more items what he told the broker and offer him balance for full truck they refuse and we pulled our crew. We never told him to hide something from your first booking then later you complain about the size and price.
