On April 21, 2025, I hired R******** Law to represent me in a traffic matter and paid $599 upfront. I submitted a detailed statement about the incident which could potentially affect the case outcome. Over a month passed before I received a vague, generic response. Since then, I’ve sent multiple follow-up emails and texts asking for clarification and updates. All were either ignored or answered with copy-paste replies.
I still have no idea what actions, if any, have been taken on my case. I’ve received no timeline, no case strategy, and no confirmation that any legal work has actually been performed. The lack of communication and transparency has left me feeling disregarded as a client.
I’ve filed a grievance with the Attorney Grievance Committee due to the neglect and handling of this matter. I’m filing this BBB complaint to document the issue and warn others about the firm’s poor client service.Business Response

To Whom It May Concern:
After receiving this client's complaint, I immediately reached out to the client, validated his dissatisfaction, offered him a full refund, and told him that I felt it was best for us to part ways and that he would have plenty of time to seek alternative counsel (his next court date is in April 2026). My exact language was "I believe the best course of action is for us to part ways. Your next court date is 4/6/2026 which means you have plenty of time to consider alternatives. I would be willing to issue you a full refund. Kindly advise on your thoughts regarding this matter." Contrary to Mr* *** ****** assertion, I did not terminate the attorney-client relationship. I proposed it, and he accepted it, as follows:
His response was "I accept your offer to part ways and issue a full refund. Confirm the total refund amount and the timeframe for processing. Advise if you require any additional information to complete the refund."
My next email was a response to his request to advise on whether any additional information is required "I require that you advise the BBB and the Ethics Committee that this matter has been resolved." His response was "Once the full refund is received and confirmed, I will follow up with the BBB and the Attorney Grievance Committee accordingly."
My third and final email was to advise him that the refund was processed and for confirmation of same. I added "I would ask that you touch base with the BBB and the Committee as soon as possible to let them know where things stand as it might avoid them from escalating the matter in the interim."
Hence the assertion that I "repeatedly urged me to contact the BBB and the Grievance Committee before the refund was even processed" is also false. Before I issued the refund, I asked him once, and only once, to advise the relevant parties. And once the refund was processed I reiterated my request which is objectively reasonable.
This very brief exchange unfolded on the same business day. It was succinct, to the point, and in my opinion the best resolution for all parties concerned. We took full accountability for his experience, and offered Mr. *** **** to accept this as a resolution, he accepted this resolution, and we issued a full refund, giving him ample time to pursue an alternative.

While I did accept the refund, I’d like to clarify several misleading claims made in Mr. Rosenblum’s reply and explain why I do not consider this matter fully resolved.First, the refund was only offered after I filed formal complaints with both the BBB and the New York Attorney Grievance Committee, within 1–2 days, to be specific. This was not a proactive or professional resolution, but a reaction to my grievances. While Mr. Rosemblum technically proposed to part ways, the timing made it clear that continuing the attorney-client relationship was no longer welcome.I accepted the refund not because the issue was resolved, but because it was clear the firm had no intention of putting real effort into my case; a fact already evident when they declined to include critical information I provided. Additionally, based on the tone and timing of our communication after my complaints were filed, I couldn’t help but feel there was a shift in attitude, a certain resentment or dislike toward me for speaking up. That made it clear I’d no longer be treated fairly or objectively as a client.Second, Mr. Rosemblum's response conveniently avoids the central issue of my original complaint: that the firm refused to include key details about the traffic stop that could have materially impacted my defense. This was the core reason I lost trust in their handling of my case.Third, I had another case handled by this same firm that was ultimately dismissed, and despite multiple requests, I was never given a clear explanation for the dismissal. That continued lack of communication reflects the same pattern of disregard I experienced in this case.Lastly, while Mr. Rosemblum claims his request for me to update the BBB and Grievance Committee was reasonable, it was made before the refund was even processed, and again immediately after. This created a strong impression that I was being pressured to downplay or withdraw my complaints in exchange for the refund. In conclusion, although I’ve received a refund, it doesn’t undo the poor service, lack of transparency, and dismissive conduct that prompted my complaint. I accepted the refund so I could move forward, not because I believe the firm acted ethically or handled this matter with professionalism.Sincerely,****** *** ****

The date of signing up for the service of Rosenblum law firm was September of 2020. I paid $500 to them as they requested as a startup fee. They required another $500 after I got my expungement with 6 months to 1 year. They told me the average time it takes for an expungement is 1 year. So i said ok. The nature of my dispute is that this Lawfirm never gives updates to keep you up to date on what is transpiring or to tell you what is required from you if anything. I have had to call the courts and ask for updates from them myself. And when I call Rosenblum law they tell me we will have the lawyer call you back and they dont call back. I have to call them and press buttons on the prompt for NEW CUSTOMERS in order to hear a live voice on the phone. Even then they transfer you to a secretary who cant speak to your concern and has no idea about your case. This Law firm doesnt even have the correct information about my case when i do get someone on the line. When i give them the correct updated information they respond with Oh. This place is a waste of money and you might as well process the expungement yourself instead of hiring someone. At the moment i am still waiting to hear back from the lawyer on the case to figure out the next steps. So far there has been little to know effort from the law firm and its really disheartening and frustrating for my family and myself. If you can go through with the expungement yourself or at least get a proven and trustworthy lawyer that really wants to help. I hope this helps someone else.Business Response
