- Refunds are detailed in your service contract. It is listed as, but not limited to, 1.The Administrator may cancel this contract for any, but not limited to the following reasons: intentional misrepresentation or fraud at the time of sale or anytime thereafter, non-payment, bounced checks, returned checks, partial payment(s) by the selling dealer, submission of a false claim, or disregard to your obligations stated in this vehicle service contract.
2.Only in the event your vehicle has been declared a total loss or has been repossessed or if you fail to pay the lien holder the contract purchase price as agreed, the business will refund a “pro-rata:” portion of this contract purchase price. The rights under this contract are transferred to the lien holder in which the lien holder would be then entitled to a pro-rata refund reflecting the greater of the days in force or the mileage elapsed based on the term of the contract.
3.If this contract is canceled within the first thirty (30) days and no claim has been filed, the dealer contract purchase price minus a fifty dollar $50.00 administration fee will be refunded to the dealer. It is the dealer’s obligation to refund you. After thirty (30) days and/or if a claim has been filed, an amount of the unearned contract charge will be refunded according to the “pro-rata” method reflecting the greater of the days in force or the mileage elapsed based on the term of the Contract. Elapsed time and mileage shall be measured from the contract sale date noted on the first page of this contract, contract sale mileage, and a one hundred dollar $100.00 fee will also apply. In the event of a cancellation, the lien holder, if any, will be named on the cancellation refund check. Various States have stipulations on how cancellations are instituted within their State. You can find a copy of your states requirements listed on the final page of your VSC document: "Special State Disclosures / Requirements”
