On August 28, 2025, I paid a total of $1,200 for a used transmission for my 2013 Ford Fusion 2.0L ($1,000 via ***** and $200 in cash) to Bloomfield **** Wreckers. At the time of transaction, which was made via telephone, no refund policy was disclosed. Only on September 15, 2025, was the 'no cash refunds' policy mentioned when I requested for a refund. This was never communicated prior to the sale. I was given a three (3) months warranty.

    • The first transmission that was sold to me was defective. I got it on 9/2/25 and it was returned immediately. I was provided with a second transmission on 9/8/25 which was installed in my vehicle. Unfortunately, the second transmission was also defective — my car does not shift properly and makes abnormal noise.

    • After installation on 9/10/25, the car was driven back to the junkyard for verification. They referred me to ** **** ********, ** ********** ***, East Orange, who scanned the vehicle and confirmed the transmission was defective. Despite this confirmation, the junkyard refused to provide a proper replacement unless I agreed to use ** **** ******** exclusively, which is unreasonable and was never part of our agreement.

During our discussions, their rep insulted my ******** (***** **** ******** - ** **** **, ********* , NJ *****) , stating I was “using a tailor for a ********” and falsely claimed he used fake transmission fluid. Their rep further stated that he “does not care” about the money I had already spent, insisting that I must use their ******** or forfeit further assistance. On multiple occasions, my rep visited their location to discuss the defective transmission. Their staff was rude, shut the window while he was speaking, and ignored his attempts to communicate.

It is imperative to note that their google reviews is filled with disgruntled and unhappy clients with similar situation like mine.

I just want a refund and do not want to deal with them anymore. If they fail to comply, I would seek legal help.
