This is an ongoing complaint that we have been trying to resolve. We complained to the **** but they suggested other resolution methods becuase of the dollar amount. The extenuating circumstance is that we have been told many time resolution was coming but it has not.I went to the *** store in ****** to send a Dyson vacuum to the manufacturer for warranty repair on January 16, 2023.The value is about $400.The *** store mixed-up my package with some other shipmnet that day and instead sent a box with a 3 jackets in it to Dyson. After a couple of weeks, we inquired on the status with ***** they told us they sent it back to the *** store. At first, *** told us they could not locate the package even though we had traced it to the store. When we found the package we could see it was too small to be our vacuum. We opened it and found the jackets. We still have the package. We made numerous trips and phone calls and tried to work with *** to find our package. *** could not find it. After many visits, we were told to file a complaint. The first one was lost. The second one is attached ( the date on it is the printed date on it from one of the days we inquired about the vacuum and needed to print it). *** has incorrectly listed the value as $100. For nearly a year, we have made over a dozen visits to the store in ******, many phone calls to them, and we have tried to work with the national 800 number but we have not received any help or a single response to the complaint. Each visit to the store we received a run around. At some point, the local store said they had no information becuase it was with the national customer service. We have called the national customer service several times and were told they cannot help us becuase the issue had been sent to the local store.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/29/2024

This shipment was created by ******'s own account and we only processed the shipment and gave it to *** on his behalf nothing else was done, for all claims the shipper needs to contact *** himself we can't file a claim, also it's over year and 7 months now.

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: [You must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. If you do not enter a reason for your rejection, your complaint will be closed as Answer

We have the record showing that the actual address it was addressed to. *** instead sent a box of clothes to the repair company rather than our vacuum cleaner. When we called the manufacturer they told us they sent it back to the store because there was an issue. When we got the package it was not the vacuum cleaner. The reason why this has taken so long is that we made many, many trips to the store and they told us resolution was in process and that we would hear from them. Then they told us it was with the national office. The national office then told us it was with the local office. Finally, we filed a complaint with the **** but we were told it was too small given their workload.

    Sincerely,
