      My son took driver's education class through Chico's Driving Center LLC. The dates listed on the Certificate of Completion are 9/05/2023 for a start date and 10/09/2023 as a completion date. The cost of the course was $800.00. My son went for his written driving exam this morning, only to find out that Chico had misprinted his birth date on the certificate. Until this gets resolved, my son is unable to set up the physical driving exam. I called Chico to request a new copy of the certificate with the correct date of birth and was appalled at the way I was spoken to over the phone. He was rude, arrogant and offensive. He absolutely will not entertain the notion of the possibility that he made a mistake and wants to place 100% of the blame on my son, who assures me that when he looked over the information that Chico presented him with, the birth date was correct. I tried to explain this to Chico but he was much too busy talking loudly over me and calling my son a liar. He said that if we are looking for a replacement copy of the driver's education certificate, then I can call him back next week and that there will be a $75 fee associated for a mistake that he made. He had a copy of my sons birth certificate so there is no reason that this shouldn't have been correct and since it is not, I would expect that Chico do what needs to be done to correct his mistake. Instead, he opted to insult me and my family, behave in rude and abrasive manner and finally just hung up on me instead of trying to work this out like a rational adult. I shudder at the thought of this individual exercising any authority over these children in any way.

      I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: [You must provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. If you do not enter a reason for your rejection, your complaint will be closed as Answered.]

      The response from Chico's Driving Center, LLC is 100% NOT acceptable. Chico has been paid in full. The expectation is that my son receive a certificate of completion for his driver's education. One that can be used to make an appointment for his driving test. The certificate supplied to my son is completely useless because Chico put down an incorrect date of birth, making this document worthless. He now wants to charge an additional $75 fee to supply the correct documentation, keeping my son from proceeding forward with making an appointment for his driving exam until this gets resolved. This is assuming that the second document that we would receive is actually correct. I have zero interest in handing over a $75 fee every time that Chico gets this wrong. Chico has not fulfilled his responsibilities in this manner. It is my position that Chico can either supply the correct documentation that is owed to my son, or he can offer a 100% full refund of the $800.00 that was paid to him. He should also compensate my son financially for wasting his time and making him retake driver's education with a reputable organization, should Chico decide to supply a full refund instead of a certificate of completion. This really comes down to breach of contract and extortion on the part of Chico's Driving Center; and as stated above, that is 100% NOT an acceptable resolution.

      I signed my daughter up for class beginning in July 2022. I went to Mr. Chico's office and gave him her paperwork and a $300 deposit. While I was there we I had asked if it was possible to get her in before July. I contacted him several times after that to confirm if she would be starting in July or before July. When he finally got back to me he told me she was scheduled for November! I expressed my frustration with being told she would be in the July class and then him changing it to November. I asked for a refund of my deposit since he was putting her into a class 4 months later than what we had agreed on. He refunding $200 instead of the $300 I paid. I have reached out to him since to try to get the additional $100 with no response. I want my $100 back. I would not have pulled her out of his class had she been scheduled for July like he told me she would be!

      I signed my brother in law up for driving classes starting on April 13. Every time the class was about to start he dodged my calls and emails so my brother-in-law got pushed to the next class time. There were also excuses as to why he couldn't start the class. The owner has cashed my check for the deposit of the classes. He was scheduled for the September classes but when I started emailing and calling him to find out when the classes were he avoided me again. On Friday October 1, 2021 I called him he answered the phone and said he was driving and he would call me when he is in the office. I had an appointment in the same plaza that his office is in and I watched him walk into the building and he has yet to return my phone call. On October 5th I called him again and left a message on the answering machine and still no response. I also have my step son signed up for classes to start in November and he won't answer me about that either.

      During Covid 2021 my son was remote I paid Chico $625 for driver's ed he wanted my son to drive during class times and that didn't work so he completely shut them off and **** my son never got his license and Chico gave no refund

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/24) */ Ms. ******** son was enrolled in my course. Because of the Pandemic, I was forced to close my classroom, but continue classes via Zoom. Mr. ******** would not allow their son to drive in his scheduled time slots. I made every possible change to his schedule so he could finish. He stopped communicating with the Driving School. Him not finishing the Driver Education course was totally their decision. Every student that enrolled into my course during the shut down, has Completed their course, and received their NH Driver License. The registration form has a No Refund section. When we were doing virtual Classes Chico got very angry with the students and he would just leave the class ****'s dad wanted him to do his schooling and that is why the times Chico picked for driving we're not fair I also asked Chico if I could at least have a half refund and after all that went down my son was too afraid to drive with him Chico is very retaliatory and unfair Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2021/09/21) */ Again, ****** ******** attended every class for the 09/02/20 course. His mom stated that her son didn't learn much. Maybe ****** has very poor learning habits during the online instructions that the Governor of New Hampshire mandated. There's also a No Refund policy stated in the Registration. Mr. ******** would not allow ****** to drive during his scheduled times. Mrs. ******** would allow ****** to drive. I tried many times to schedule driving and Chico always told me there was no room. He scheduled time during school hours for **** to drive that was not possible. Chico also just left classes when he got angry with the kids. I have to enroll **** in another driving class and it is only fair at least half is only fair for payment. Covid changed many things I believe Chico was in the wrong scheduling driving during school hours and he is very rude when trying to speak to him.
