Brought my car in for a noise complaint and loss off coolant. Owner of the business determined the problem was a bad bearing in the water pump and the water pump was leaking. another local mechanic quickly looked at the car prior and could not see any leak in the pump. After 1 1/2 weeks the owner called me said he put the car together however needed two more days because the noise did not come from the water pump it was from a tensioner pulley. I got the car back at a cost of over 850 dollars. That evening I placed a white window shade under the car to see if the leak was resolved .The next morning I had the same puddle of anti freeze on the ground that was happening prior to this shop fixing it. I do not believe anything was wrong with the water pump and of course I asked for the used parts which he could not produce. I also asked for the used belts, to be used for an emergency and he claimed he "burned them off". so i have doubts the belts needed to be changed. I brought the car back he looked at it once again and now claims the reservior is leaking which more then likely was the issue all along since the puddle did not decrease one bit with the new water pump, I must now take the car to another mechanic to have it fixed properly. I tried to reason with this man as well as a mutual friend but to no avail. I asked him to refund the labor portion for I must now pay someone else to fix the car. I did not ask for are fund for the parts even though I do not believe they were needed. The bottom line is the car was there for a leak. he missed the reservoir leak and I believe did not properly diagnoised the water pump. The noise was not a pump bearing but a pully.
