    I am writing to file a formal complaint against a business owner who failed to provide a promised partial refund for a product I did not receive as ordered. Despite my repeated and patient attempts to resolve the issue directly with the business, I have not been given the refund, and communication has come to a ************* [December 2024], I placed an order with her for a custom cake. I had paid $120. Upon pickup, I received a product that did not match my order. We contacted the owner immediately and were told that a partial refund would be issued. When we returned to the location to retrieve the correct item, no one was there to fulfill the order. ( I live an hour away from the business)Since then, I have reached out to the business multiple times over the course of the year through messages, giving ample time for a response and resolution. In one of the most recent exchanges, I was asked to leave a review which I did in good faith, in hopes to receive my refund. After doing so, I was left on read, and no further steps were taken by the business to resolve the matter.I also attempted to dispute the charge through Venmo, but was unsuccessful due to the time that has passed. It has now been almost a year, and I am simply requesting that the business honor their original promise and issue a refund, either partial or full, for the incorrect order.I am hoping the Better Business Bureau can help mediate this matter. I have more screenshots than I provided and communication history to support my complaint.
