    ON 2/12/24 WENT TO THIS OFFICE FOR MY TAX RETURN.MET A CAROLYN ******** TAX HELPER. HAD A VERY SIMPLE E FILE TYPE OF RETURN WITH ONLY FOUR ITEMS. ABOUT A 15 MIN TIME TO DO RETURN. WAS STALLED AND THEN TOLD CHARGE WAS $255.00 FOR THIS SIMPLE RETURN THAT HAVE BEEN FREE OR LOW DOLLARS TO DO. SHE DID OFFER A COUPON THAT DID BRING PRICE TO $230.00. AT NO TIME PRIOR OR DURING SHE FILLED POUT DIMPLE RETURN WAS I TOLD OF THIS EXCESSIVE CHARGE TO DO MY RETURN. BEING A 86 YEAR OLD MAN WITH LITTLE RESOURCES IT WAS HARD FOR ME TO PAY. I WAS NEVER TOLD IN ADVANCE OF THESE CHARGES. SHE DID GIVE ME A COUPON FOR $25.00 AS GUESS FELT SORRY FOR ME. TRIED TO CALL THE OFFICE MANGER ON 2/15 AND WAS TOLD NOT IN AND WAS TREATED RUDE AND TERSE BY DAY MANAGER AND OF COURSE OFFICE MANGER NEVER CALLED ME BACK. A SHAME A COMPANY AS THIS LIES AND TRICKS US OLD PEOPLE I I DO WISH A FULL REFUND AT THIS TIME DUE TO THE PROBLEMS THIS COMPANY HAS CAUSED ME. IF NOT WILL FILE A SMALL CLAIMS COURT CASE OF HOW THIS COMPANY TRICKS US OLD PEOPLE TO PAY HIGH RETURN FEES FOR A SIMPLE E FILE RETURN THAT MOST DO FOR FREE FOR US OLD POOR--SO BEWARE WHEN YOU GO TO H & R YOU KNOW UP FRONT CHARGES YOU WILL BE CHARGED AND NOT AT END WHEN YOU LEAVE.. MANY OF THESE OFFICES HAVE ONE STAR RANKINGS- THANKS
