    In April 2025, Uptown Windows came door-to-door in my neighborhood offering window cleaning services. We typically clean our windows twice a year, and they were due, so we decided to give them the opportunity.

    The crew used long poles with bristles and brushes to clean the glass. After they finished, I noticed what I initially thought were streaks. I asked them to touch the windows up, but upon closer inspection, these marks were not streaks — they were deep vertical scratches running from top to bottom on multiple windows.

    I immediately contacted the owner. He came to our home, viewed the damage, apologized, and said he would arrange for a window professional to assess the situation, get estimates, and “take care of it.”

    Despite these assurances, a professional inspection never took place. The company did not provide any official report or documentation from an expert. Instead, they sent one of their own workers to attempt some type of composite repair, which we declined, as we felt repairs should be handled by a qualified glass professional.

    Since then, Uptown Windows has refused to take responsibility. They now deny their equipment caused the damage and have stopped responding to our communication. They also will not provide any proof that a professional was ever consulted.

    This damage could only have been caused by their cleaning equipment, and it should be covered under their liability insurance. Instead, we are left with the cost of replacing several damaged windows.

    I am filing this complaint to document the incident and to request that Uptown Windows cover the full cost of proper repairs or replacement for the damaged windows, as originally promised by the owner.
