  Called Southside Plumbing at 11am and by 12:30, Shawn was at my house ready to help. He assessed the whole basement (even putting his head in the drywall to double check plumbing routes), explained by step what our problem was and solutions, and emailed us multiple estimates to find a solution that worked for us. I am so impressed by this company’s customer service, knowledge, and compassion. Will be using them for all of our problems going forward.

  Southside Plumbing is the best! You can trust them to tell it like it is. They charge by the hour. No commission. They were able to schedule an appointment the next day. Everyone knows their stuff. I've used them twice and referred them to family. Southside is my plumber from now on.

  I have been a customer with Southside/Aksarben plumbing for over 10 years. However, my most recent experience with them was awful. They were out at the beginning of February to clear my main drain, I do this yearly. A month later if backed up again and was much worse. This has happened in the past and they have always came right back out to correct the issue. This time when I called and said I needed this fixed today they told me there were busy, but would see what they could do and call me back in 1-1.5hr. After no call and 2.5hrs I called back and was informed they called the foreman and he would call. He called me and after several conversations I was told that I would have to pay the $235 again for a clean out. Or he would clear it for free but bid me $320 for jetting and that he WILL run a camera down the pipe. He could not explain why they were charging me for a job not done correct when they have always corrected it in the past. He finally called at 3:30pm and said he was on his way. Then at 3:58pm I received a call from the lady at the office saying they were now not able to come out that they had an emergency and pulled everyone. She could not give any recommendations of what to do and could not tell me what the emergency was. She also informed me that they could not get me in the next day. She said she would call if something opened up. I asked for the manager to call me, she said she would relay the message but they probably wouldn't call me back. This was 4 days ago and I have yet to hear back from them. This was very frustrating as I have used them for years and my father is a contractor and has used them many times in the past. Neither of us will be using them or recommending them again. Also, just an FYI the foreman talks down to women as if they don't understand.
