    Formal Complaint ******* **** **** ** ******* *** *** Alkar Billiards & Hot Tubs for Incomplete and Substandard Work. Dear Better Business Bureau, I am writing to file a formal complaint against **** **** ** ******* and now Alkar Billiards & Hot Tubs regarding the inadequate service provided as per our phone call arrangements. Despite assurances and expectations outlined in our phone call, Alkar Billiards & Hot Tubs failed to complete the work satisfactorily, resulting in significant inconvenience and financial losses on our part. In the beginning of December I called Alkar Billiards & Hot Tubs to set up a service call. Per my invoice the date they came out to service the hot tub was December 13th. On that date they came out to do an assessment on the problem and called me to let me know what they found. A leak and the control panel was not working properly and needed to be fixed. On the same phone call I was told I’d get a call back to get on the schedule. From their service call on December 13th they pulled out my filter and left it out. Since they were supposed to call me back for the rest of the service, I didn’t think leaving the filter out was an issue until I received a phone call 2 months later. They called two months later to collect payment. When I mentioned that I would be happy to pay for the service when all service we discussed was done and complete. **** who I was talking to said he had no information about them needing to come back. With this new information **** told me he would call me back the following day to get the leak fixed and the panel replaced and during this phone call I mentioned the filter being left out and if I could at least get a new one free of charge due to them removing it and never putting it back and **** said he could see what they could do. Once again no phone call until the weekend of 3/9/24 asking if they could come over to fix the issues the same day they called. I wasn’t home at the time the employee of ****r Billiards & Hot Tubs came but when I arrived I was asked to speak to **** on the employees phone. After speaking with **** again on the phone he said he sent me an email for an invoice but I never received an invoice per email. When **** asked about the invoice he said I had to sign it which I haven’t signed anything for any of this so called service. I agreed verbally over the phone to fix the leak and the panel. The employee at my home left and came back with materials and started working on the Hot Tub. I was told before the employee left that I needed to wait 2 days to let the fittings dry. While the employee was here he damaged my hot tub cover, the cover opener stand, and lost screws to the shell of the hot tub. My breaker box for the hot tub was left open and exposed to the elements, the filter was once again left out, and the existing control panel was left behind. On 3/12/24 I called Alkar to see if they would come back out to fill the hot tub and get it chemical ready. I also asked about the free filter. **** told me that he doesn’t see why I think I need a free filter. I once again explained to **** that their company is the one that took the filter out of the hot tub and never put it back and their company is the one that never called me back to finish the service. **** got upset with me and asked why I didn’t just put it back myself. After this I told them they have lost my business. After waiting the two days like I was instructed, on 3/13/24 I attempted to fill the hot tub only to find that it leaks more now. After taking it all apart I was able to see the low quality of work and the pictures attached will show just that. At this time I have received two different visits from Alkar Billiards. The first visit was 136.74 and the second I have not received the final bill but what I was shown was over 600.00. Alkar Billiards & Hot Tubs have failed to provide a satisfactory resolution. This lack of accountability and professionalism is deeply concerning and has eroded our trust in their ability to fulfill their obligations. In light of the above, I request that the Better Business Bureau intervene and facilitate a resolution to this matter. I seek that Alkar Billairds & Hot Tubs refund all services since December 1st and also pay for any damages they have caused while servicing my hot tub at **** ****** **** ******* *** ***** due to Alkar Billiards & Hot Tubs’ failure to fulfill their contractual obligations. I trust that the Better Business Bureau will take this complaint seriously and work towards a fair and expedient resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter.     Well today was another day without the FLOW SWITCH that you have stated was in the MAIL. So did you ever mail the switch or was that just another LIE. I also see that you have blocked me on sending you messages on FACEBOOK!!!!. Well, that's not going to work with ME. NEVER use this company!!!!!! Here is why. I have a J400 hot tub. Your repair person came out and he found bad fuse, which somehow, I missed as I was trying to find out why it wasn't working. Well after the fuse was replaced it came back on. I kept getting a flow alarm and the temp would not go up because of this alarm, which I understand. Like I stated on FACEBOOK your service people are the worse THAT I have ever had to work with. There is not much left other than the flow switch that they installed and it's bent out of shape. The fact that you're now telling me that "The owner has exhausted all of our options in trying to repair it. " Why didn't LARRY tell me this. I feel that they need to come back out and replace the FLOW switch that when they installed it also damaged it. In the meantime I ordered a new motherboard and the control panel. Same problem. . I also offered to re=install the motherboard or even have them re=install it but they refused. Until the fuse blew the hot tub was working great. So now what are going to do. They made this statement on Monday November 28th at 2:17PM "We will get that in the mail today or tomorrow and you should have it by the weekend.

    Mr. ******, I know you have spoken with a few different people at our company, you have tried making repairs yourself and ordering your own parts. We 100% guarantee our work and our parts and products, but that doesn't include when someone else works on it, no matter who it is, what other company it was, who's parts they are or how much experience anyone has. Things can always happen when there are more than one person working on one piece of equipment. We have gone back and forth about the situation and possible solutions and per our last conversation you said you got everything working and all you were asking for is the flow switch. At that time on 11/28/22, we ordered the part from Jacuzzi, who has to ship it to us and then we have to ship it to you. I have tracking information for that part and we are more than happy to send it to you. Since 11/28/22, you have sent our team rude comments and threatened us stating, "OK no answer from you, now I'm forced to spread how bad of a company you're to work with and the fact that you don't come thru with what you promise. You have until 3PM on 12/06/2022. then I'm going to open the flood gates on all of the social media every day till next year or maybe longer.". But I personally responded to you even before we got that threat. I have all of our conversations documented and saved and can email those to you if you'd like a copy of them. I'm sorry this has been frustrating. After our conversation on 11/28/22, I thought we had come to a resolution. I'm not sure what else we can do to help at this point - your hot tub is working and we sent you the part you asked for. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you need anything else, ***********************.
