Update on my previous post below. I have since filed a lawsuit in the District Court of Nebraska … public record for anyone to go read. Amount of money is too large for small claims so civil court it is. Agree with Jennifer S on the unethical and dishonest.

This is in response to Don's girlfriend Melissa G (who he has had enter him 5 star reviews on Google multiple times). Stephen was the one who took Don to court, and we have numerous pages of text messages documenting ALL of the problems we experienced. Don also lied in court and admitted to writing his own reviews under a fictitious name. Stephen didn't win the suit because he represented himself and isn't a lawyer, and Don tried to bully him by moving the case from small claims to civil court. We do have a plethora of photos to demonstrate his unethical behavior, strange behavior, and dishonesty. I believe Google allows reviewers to share photos in reviews. An intriguing option.

This is in response to Stephen S*******, he forgot to mention that Don took this to trial and won the case because Stephen is full of **** and Don did a bunch of extra work on his deck for free. This is also mind you the 3rd contractor that Stephen has tried to sue.
Don actually does amazing work and is great at what he does. He has done a ton of work for me and I can't complain at all!!

Zero stars. I hired Don Stein with "Concept Decks & Basements" in March 2024 to build and complete a new deck in April 2024. He came recommended by family and seemed like a nice guy. He has taken just under $10,000 from me for this project, absolutely nothing has been started and he has now gone MIA. He won't respond via phone, email or mail. Over the last 3 months, I have gotten a few random text messages with varying excuses as to why he hasn't started but those have stopped and while still having my money. Proceeding with legal action and I will update this in the future with the final outcome.
