This business was at the Home Show in ******** showing their selection of what they called "110V Hot Tubs." The sales rep repeated that the tub will work perfect on 110V and there is absolutely no need for a 220V to be installed. After asking all the right questions around this, I decided to proceed with the purchase knowing that I would not have to spend the additional money installing a 220V outlet for a hot tub to run. After the tub was delivered on a Tuesday, I spoke with the installers and confirmed the time it would take to heat up. "No more then 48 hours on a cold day." Filled the tub that afternoon, turned on the heater and waited 48 hours. Checked the temp, 71 degrees. Waited another 2 days, 85 degrees, waited another 2 days, 101. 4 days longer then expected but that's fine, it's heated. The temperatures dropped overnight to the teens and apparently this hot tub was not designed to keep it's temp in cold weather. Checked the hot tub the next day and it had dropped 20 degrees. After calling the store, they told me the heater was broken and they sent someone out to replace it. After replacing the heater, same result. Can't keep it's temp in cold weather. I asked if they could simply refund me $*** so I could pay an electrician to come out and install a 220V so it has enough to power to heat properly and they refused. I then asked if I could simply return the tub since it is unusable without a 220V and they refused. I am now stuck with a glorified bath tub in my backyard that consumes energy and can only be used during warmer weather which to me deems the product defective and not functioning. I have given the company a chance to correct the issue over the last 3 weeks and they have declined any effort to fix the problem.
