      Erroneous collection on credit report
      - I cancelled service with ComEd in 6/23. I received final bills - $99.72 paid electronically on 6/9/23 and $128.62 paid electronically on 6/16/23. However the collection remained on my record.
Spoke- I called on 6/22 and spoke to someone in accounting who told me I still owed $7.30. I paid this the same day with my credit card. The collection remained.

I have repeatedly called ComEd, told that my message would be sent to accounting, no response and nothing happened.
On May 3, I was told that it was too late, they didn't have the files anymore and that there was nothing they could do.

Why did they not remove the collection notice when I paid on 6/22?

I have spent the last 2 years trying to resolve this with ComEd and they clearly had no interesting resolving this.

Right now the collect notice for $132 remains on my credit report.

So because of their incompetence they claim that time has run out while I've been trying to resolve this.

I need this off my credit report NOW.
