Hi, this is REMOVED, co-owner and registered Locksmith at The Lockmobile. I have been making keys for cars for 35 years. I specialize in replacing and programming lost vehicle keys to cars in good running condition. I am not a mechanic and do not offer mechanic services. This is a situation we have encountered many times, so we were careful to explain to REMOVEDbefore any work was done that we will charge for our time, materials and labor regardless if the vehicle does not start due to existing  faults with the vehicle. He agreed to these terms and had us move foreward with the work on two cars. He then proceeded to try to back out of paying for the completed work on the Honda after the work was done when I told him the car would not start. This car did not have a theft light to indicate whether it was reading the key or not so after REMOVEDtried to repair some wiring that had been disconnected and a new fuel pump, I went back out at no cost to try the programming again. This still not working, REMOVEDdecided to trade the junkyard the Honda for a Ford we made keys for and he already sold to them because it wouldn't run. The Ford had a theft light that went out when I programmed it indicating it was reading the key so I gave REMOVEDmy cell phone number and told him to call me if he had any trouble with that one. I did not hear back from him until he had claimed to have done a bunch of work to the Ford and then sold it again to the scrap yard. He felt they would sell it back to him if we could get it running, so I offered to meet him at the car at no cost again. REMOVEDreached out to the scrap yard and they declined to work with him any further. After hearing this he demanded a refund, travel expense, lodging, loss of income, loss of profit and began to harass me with expletives and slander. The vehicles REMOVEDpurchased were wrecked, broken down and abandoned on the side of the road prior to being towed to the city impound lot. The pricing and terms were agreed upon up front and I did my best to help him, but REMOVEDrefuses to accept responsibility for the risk he took on cast-away vehicles.
