I booked a hotel room for March 19th, 2022 using my debit card. Upon arrival, we paid for the room using my husbands credit card. After going to our room, we found that the room was already booked to someone else. (We walked in on someone in the room) After returning to the front desk, we were advised the hotel was oversold and advised we would receive a refund. We did not stay at the hotel as a result. While my husband's card was not charged, 4 days later on March 22nd, my debit card was charged $****** by the hotel. I reached out to them via email and phone and received no response. I continued to call and received no response. My husband was able to reach them on 3/29 and asked that my debit card be refunded, the manager agreed. She reached out to me via email and phone and stated she had refunded the $****** to my account. On 3/30/22 I discovered that not only had the refund not been initiated, but the hotel charged my account an additional $******. I again reached out to the hotel and am receiving no response. At this point, they owe me a total of $******. I am also extremely concerned that they will continue to take money from me as they will not respond to my attempts to reach them. I am considering filing a criminal complaint.
