This has got to be the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. The service is either slow, or down altogether. When you call, they either tell you they weren’t aware of an outage (which isn’t true, since there is a Facebook group discussing outages and calls reporting outages). Or, they tell you they’re aware but have no estimated time of repair. They charge new prices for refurbished equipment, and don’t let you provide your own, so you’re stuck with their barely functioning equipment. Even after days of calls about outages, there’s never a “we’re sorry” let alone any compensation for a product you can’t use. If I had any other choice, I’d take it no questions asked. A kick in the head would be less painful than dealing with this place.

I would give this company a zero, but 1 star is minimum. I recently had sprinklers installed and the company cut the Fastwyre line because when 811 was call they had no clue I had Fastwyre so my lines weren't marked. I called immediately to get the issue resolved(Wednesday). Was told they could not get me in until the 21st(Monday). Monday rolls around, the tech had no idea why he was there and then told us he will be back tomorrow to fix the issue. A tech arrives next day, attaches a cable to my house, leaves, says he will be back to fix the issue and does not. I call Fastwyre and they tell me I have an appointment on the 24th. Why does no one ever tell me I have an appointment? I have to call customer service to randomly find out I have an appointment no one told me about? Ridiculous. What was originally supposed to be a 5-day fix turned into 9 days and even then, I doubt the issue will be resolved when they said it will be. I work full time and am a part time student and now have to commute everyday somewhere that has wifi. I know for a fact Fastwyre has inquires and appointments being made to get new customers but are doing nothing to keep the current customers they have. Additionally, the customer service technicians did a great job, but why do they have no contact with dispatchers? I don't want to call someone for information for them to tell me they can't give me an answer because they don't communicate with the people that dispatch technicians to fix/install. Fastwyre is a great service once you get set up, but heavens forbid you have an issue, because their communication is awful and they do not prioritize their existing customers whatsoever. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

I wish I could leave zero stars. This company has terrible and quite possibly illegal practices. They will promise you the world in order to get you to sign up and the second that you do they refuse to make good on their word. I was promised one free month of service on sign up, and then when they botched the install and left the cable hanging out for anything to happen to it I was promised a fourteen day credit on my bill as well. After struggling for nearly a month to get them to honor their word they are now promising a free month of service in the future. For obvious reasons my trust in their willingness to follow through on that promise is zero. Their speeds are not bad (not nearly what is promised) but their customer service seems intentionally catered to do anything they can to not help their customer while still charging them about large premium

Avoid this company like the plague! They are an absolute disaster. Their scheduling is a joke, their mapping is useless, and they have no clue what they’re doing. I wasted an entire day waiting for them, only to get a confirmation at 2:10 PM saying the appointment was actually for the next day. Unbelievable incompetence! Go with Great Plains, Cox, or literally anyone else. This company is a waste of time, money, and patience. RUN!

Horrible phone customer service! I have been trying for MONTHS to get my refund $$. Finally, today, supposedly, they will be sending my check and I should get in within 6 weeks!!! WHAT!! The last time I requested the refund was Jan 13, today is Feb 5 and it was just "approved" today! Absolute poor way to do business!!
I would NOT recommend them to anyone!

It took them 5 months to switch my phone to my new apartment. Then expected me to pay for the 5 months while I had to phone. Many many harassing phone calls. I paid the 5 months just to keep my service with a promise of a Credit the next month. This was a lie on their part!!! Service is connected and I still get the automated calls saying I owe money but I do not. It takes an hour to get someone on the phone. I would expect better of a utility company. Tired of being ripped off. My advise is try to not use them.

Horrible company. Loved it up until They are trying to charge $139 for a glitch on their end. Making the customer pay for their computers glitches. Shady. Goes against their claims of comprehensive payments.

For 3 months now, internet speeds drop to 1-5 mbps between 7pm-12am. The company keeps implying my equipment is the issue but multiple techs that have visited say it;s not my equipment. The entire neighborhood in this area is experiencing the same thing. One tech actually told a neighbor, yeah its Fastwyre's equipment that needs to be changed out because it is very old but there are no plans to update their equipment. Even though fiber has existed in this area for years now, they cannot even offer gigabit service because of this ancient equipment. It's frustrating that Fastwyre is the only high speed service cause if they had competition, the entire neighborhood would switch in a heartbeat. I'm beginning to believe that the only recourse to get what I'm payinng for is to begin a petition to bring to our public service commission to investigate the issue to find out what actually is the problem.

Absolute thievery. Signed on for a promotion for 3 months free. Scanned the agreement for nefarious small print like Charter's price increases but found nothing. Played me for the fool though, because we got 1 month free and on month 2 received a bunch of bullshit extra charges. Despite making an account and selecting paperless billing, we've received a paper bill (2 pages) along with a $7.50 charge. An ENTIRE REAM of generic paper at Walmart is less than $6.00. They also tacked on a "network enhancement fee" and then a whopping $49.99 charge for something called "highwyre up". I was promised no increased fees, no datacaps, but apparently I should have hired a lawyer to look over the contract because I missed the section where I agreed to bend over on a whim.

It's disgusting. Since the inception of internet these companies have had a virtual monopoly in small, rural areas and exploit it with some of the most predatory practices conceivable. We need regulation on internet pricing to protect the consumer, because these companies sure as F aren't going to act in a moral manner. This is the first other option I've ever had besides Charter or $120/month satellite internet that runs at 56kbps in nearly 20 years. Next month I'll be going to that incredibly expensive, dial up speed satellite internet because F YOU fastwyre, you disgusting thieves.
