- Additional Info:According to information from the North Dakota Attorney General's office: "The North Dakota Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division was contacted by a Tennessee scam victim. Since January 2019, she believed she was talking to: Luminous Sweepstakes, 4610 Amber Valley Pkwy S, Fargo, ND 58104, 701-660-1005. Originally, she was told she was the 2nd place winner of a sweepstakes. Recently she was told that she was now the 1st place winner because someone dropped out. Over the course of the last year, scammers have convinced her to mail cash to Costa Rica (three times), send Walmart to Walmart money transfers to California and Wyoming, and purchase three (3) cell phones. The victim applied for credit cards and took cash advances in order to send the money. The victim stated she has spent $49,145, plus the cost of the phones.
The Consumer Protection Division investigated the address, and it is an office building in Fargo. The Attorney General has determined that there are actual legitimate businesses in this office building and this entity and scam are not located at this office building.
The North Dakota Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division has determined that this matter clearly is a scam. However, it has no further information in this matter.”
