DCI Collections has been calling me for a debt that I do not owe. I've paid the company that I bought the product from, through PayPal, and then the company ghosted me so I took out a dispute with PayPal to which the original company responded and still did not send me the product. I received a refund but three months later the company said the product was ready and they had mailed it to me. The product arrived and it was WRONG. I've explained this to DCI and they keep calling! I've tried to send the product back and the company won't take it back. DCI is harassing me at my work! I've told them to stop contact with me but they said I own a business which means they can legally keep harassing me. Threatened me with court and just kept talking over me and wouldn't listen. If this isn't a case for bad collection practice I don't know what is.

I currently have a garnishment against me and I do not dispute the Medical bill which it is for. My irretation with this garnishment that DCI has is that they take $250 out of my pay checks every 2 weeks and I have contacted them several time requesting that they cap this amount at $150 due to trying to provide for 2 children. I get same run around, I am told to talk to so and so but no one calls me back. They send new paper work always dated several weeks prior to me recieving it and I only live 3 hrs away from them. I have not signed any papers agreeing to any garnishments nor have I filled out any income verification paperwork. They request my minor childrens social security numbers, and I will not give them this information. I should not have to retain a lawyer to get them to listen, but apparenly thats what it might take. I just want them to agree to smaller amounts out of my pay checks and they dont give a **** as long as they are taking what ever they feel is best for them.

DCI CREDIT SERVICES lawfully obtained a judgment against this consumer through North Dakota State Court over 4 years ago on 12/5/20**, case # **-20**-CV-02702. We do not take legal action lightly, it  was taken as a result of the consumer not paying the amount voluntarily over these years.  Once a judgment is obtained, creditors have a right  to garnish a persons wages to recover the amount due. The amount being garnished is set under State Law - DCI as  with any  creditor does not get to choose that amount.  At the end of the day, the garnishment is being conducted lawfully through our attorney. The consumer can resolve the debt anytime they choose, they just need to remit the full payment to our office. Once the total amount due is paid, we will happily stop the garnishment. Thank you.

DCI Credit Services has done everything correct in this case, we do not understand the nature of this complaint from ******************.

First and foremost, DCI legally obtained a judgment against ****************** on March 1, 2007. He was served a summons and complaint on 2/28/2007, at which time he had the opportunity to respond but failed to do so.  Over the past several years , DCI  attempted to collect the debt and unfortunately, ****************** did not pay it. We do not agree with the premise that because ****************** failed to have a memory to these events that he should not have to pay the full amount of $282.75 in damages and interest. Accrued interest charges are for damages of the unpaid debt, and the court sets the rate.  We have attached the register of actions from the North Dakota court system to validate the judgment information, including interest charges.

I am rejecting this response because: I have had the same bank account for over ************************************** which they have tried to take money from the account.

I received a letter in the mail from DCI Credit noting that my medical **** was transferred to them to collect debt. Upon receiving this notice, I promptly mailed out a payment June 2021. I did not receive any further communication from this company. My phone records show no calls and I have no letters. I have not moved or changed my phone number. Now it is October 2021, and I received a letter stating that they are going to have a legal action brought against me as I have not paid off this debt. My complaint is the lack of communication on the company's part and that it is not giving an individual due process. Legally I received no other communication in the past 6 months which I believe to be sabotaging one's rights to pay off a debt owed. It seems counterintuitive. I offered to make payments monthly and they refused my offer.

The account in question was placed with DCI Credit Services on June 1, 2021.The consumer is correct that she made a one time payment which was posted on June 30, 2021.  Through the period of July 8th to September 30th, DCI made numerous phone call attempts in our attempt to contact her. These calls are made during normal business  hours Monday - Friday. Notices and receipts, are sent at the consumers request and at no point has the consumer ever contacted us to request a statement, make satisfactory arrangements, or express her intent to pay the remaining debt. Due to these facts, DCI began legal proceedings on September 30, 2021. DCI  in no way restricted the right of the consumer to pay her debt. We have done quite the opposite in our numerous attempts in reaching out to her.  If she would like to pay the debt, we can easily be reached Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm by calling ************, or ************. We look forward to speaking with her.
