      I am filing this complaint against Barton College regarding the misleading recruitment practices and subsequent breach of promised program features within the Master of *********************** (***) program.When I enrolled in Barton Colleges *** program, the college actively advertised and promoted the inclusion of an international travel experience as a core part of the program. This international trip was a primary factor in my decision to enroll, especially since the total tuition cost of $28,000 explicitly included the cost of this international travel. The colleges own website and promotional materials made this clear up until early 2025, long after students had already committed to the program and taken out loans or made financial arrangements.Midway through the program without prior notice Barton College unilaterally canceled the international travel component. Students were not informed of this cancellation prior to the Spring 2025 semester beginning, nor were we given any opportunity to withdraw or reconsider our enrollment in light of this material change to the program.This constitutes false advertising and deceptive recruitment practices, as Barton College recruited students, including myself, into the *** program under the promise of a $28,000 program that included an international trip. Removing this major feature after enrollment, without appropriate notice or compensation, is deceptive and unethical.Efforts to resolve this issue directly with the college have failed. I have contacted Dr. ***** **********, Vice President of Academic Affairs, multiple times seeking answers and appropriate remedies. After an initial acknowledgment that the website was not updated and that the college failed to properly budget for the trip, Dr. ********** ceased communication and has ignored my ************* of now, the college has neither offered compensation nor a meaningful substitute experience for the removed international travel component.
