5 starsAs way of a brief introduction, I would like to provide the reader with a little background to our need for comprehensive cross-border tax planning and filings.My wife and I sold our second home in ***********, ****** in the summer of 2023. As a reference point, the sale price was in excess of $2.0m. We are dual citizens, whose primary residence was in ** for over 40 years, now retired to **. For 20+ years I filed U.S. corporate and personal tax returns through a national CPA firm.This was different! I wanted a hands-on expert well versed in both ********************* (***) and U.S. IRS tax rules, including *** Certificate Disposition of Property, the *** tax process and U.S. Foreign Tax Credit (FTC) filing. It was important for me to have direct communication with an expert, an open dialog up front in the planning process. I wanted to know the outcome well in advance of tax return preparation.Marlies Hendricks, CPA has been nothing short of outstanding! We are extremely fortunate and grateful to Marlies and her team for a successful and positive experience. Marlies is thorough, detailed, accurate and timely. I cant say enough how well the planning and tax returns process went.
