I paid $13,500 for an engine rebuild, front end work they told me i needed so it could get an alignment and then the alignment itself. My sole reason for taking the truck was to get an alignment and fix all leaks which they said they had to remove the engine to do and said if i wanted to rebuild the engine it would be the best time to do so with it having almost ******* miles on it. I agreed and asked him to do an alignment which he said that they needed to do front end work that it had to have before it could be aligned. He verbally gave me a price after we had talked it over of $10,000, maybe close to $11,000 after taxes. Well needless to say after a month turned into 3 he finally had my truck ready to be picked up. He texted me instead of calling and said that i owed him $15,000. I went to his office and had a discussion that it wasnt near the price we had agreed on and he wasnt having it. He said he would knock a $1,000 off and not charge me for taxes because i was paying with cash. I ended up giving him $13,500 in total for the work done and still owed him $500 with all intentions of paying him the remaining balance. A day after i picked my truck up the check engine light was flashing and i had to return it because apparently the tuning wasnt right and it was my fault because i was ******* them to get my truck done. So i took it back and they did something to it but ever since it used a lot of gas and could always smell gas fumes while it was running. Shortly after getting it back i noticed it still has a leak from the engine and also the power steering pump was leaking. Transmission is leaking fluid after he said he fixed those leaks as well. 8 months later which is now my truck motor locked up and now Im without a vehicle. He is taking no responsibility to fix it because i owed him $500 which wasnt paid because all the issues Ive had since having the truck back and the job not being. I need something done because he did not do his job correctly
