Guests have to agree to the rental agreement during the booking process with www.VRBO.com. It spells out the various conditions of the rental and specifies very clearly the cancellation policy which is considered moderate/average by VRBO. There is an "act of God" clause which states that there are events that cannot be predicted and that may affect the refund policy.
The rental unit refund policy listed in the rental agreement and also on shown on the www.VRBO.com website for our units is as follows:
- 100% refund when cancellation is requested by renter 30 prior to arrival by guest to www.VRBO.com - automatic refund (no owner involvement)
- 50% refund when cancellation is requested:by renter 29 to 14 days prior to arrival by guest to www.VRNO.com - automatic refund (no owner involvement).
- 0% refund - 13 days to 0 days prior to arrival.
Optional Cancellation insurance/protection policy is offered through the www.VRBO.com during the booking process. Owners also recommend another insurance option in their instant booking response to take travel insurance out with their or another insurance company that covers the expenses that are not refunded through the cancellation policy. Vacation rental policies differ from hotels.
