    Price Tree services was contracted after Hurricane ****** to cleanup 6 large trees in my backyard that were sitting on fences and other structures. The owner, ****** ***** and his cohort, ****** *****, came out and did a quote on Saturday and I let them know that we wanted to move forward on a Sunday. ****** reached out on Monday late morning and wanted a deposit before starting work. ****** agreed to start the next day. I gave ****** a check for $4850 and he cashed it 2 hours later in a different county even though he is from ****************. After cashing, ****** did not show up for 4 days and I tried contacting him numerous times. He claims his truck was stuck Tuesday and Wednesday, no reason for not showing Thursday and did not show Friday. I tried telling ****** I was not interested in moving forward on Thursday via txt message because he would not answer the phone. I then let him know Friday again that the deal was off and I wanted my deposit back. No deposit terms in the contract other than 50% deposit due upfront. ****** parked equipment beside my property later Friday night (10/4) after 9:30PM and then called me Saturday morning claiming his guys started work Friday and left equipment there to come and work Saturday morning. That is a flat out lie because I was there all day Friday except for dinner with my family until 8:30PM. I was there all day Saturday as well. ****** called the sheriff to help him retrieve his equipment because I was parking in front of his trailer due to limited space in my driveway and I needed to start trying to remove trees myself to allow **** to restore power. ****** agreed to give me my deposit of $4850 back within 30 days. Since this time, ****** has blocked my number and I have heard from an old business partner that he has done this to others. I have 4 confirmed accounts (including mine) of this happening. I just want my deposit back as promised. I have the promise in writing and sheriff deputy has it on video (bodycam).
