I booked a two night stay on ****** for Friday/Sat July 7-8 at the Days Inn Selma, ** location. The total for the reservation was $159,47. We headed to our room after check in and it was downhill from there. The exterior door didn't lock, the stairs heading up the second floor had terrible stains and odor. The entire second floor smelled like an ashtray despite having a non-smoking room. After going in the room I found that the bedsheets were dirty on both beds and the refrigerator door wouldn't close (not a big deal). The kicker was there were bugs in the shower/tub and multiple hairs. I notified the front desk in person that I would not be staying due to the circumstances. He seemed genuinely concerned and was courteous. He did offer a different room but I declined. He told me he would leave a note for morning management because he was a fairly new employee and also gave me a business card to the location owner. He also stated that any refund would have to be done thru the hotel because I booked thru an app. I sent an email on Saturday morning July 8th to the hotel owner and have not received a reply yet. No one has reached out from the location via phone at all. I called back Sunday evening July 9th and spoke with the gentleman at the front desk again and he told me he spoke to the owner directly on Sat and let him know what happened. I made him aware no one has called me so he said he would leave another note. He also informed me that he found similar problems with bugs in other rooms after I left. My wife and I were driving up the East Coast from ******* on 4/23/22 and needed a place to stay for a few hours. We booked a reservation through Priceline at the Days Inn 115 US Hwy/70A *****, NC. Upon arrival at around 11:30pm, we entered the room and it was nothing short of disgusting. My wife contacted Priceline to let them know the conditions of the facility which were not up to cleaning standards and also are not up to COVID safety measures. We informed the Priceline representative that there was fecal matter all over the bathroom shower curtain and walls with used washcloths hung up in the shower, cigarette burn marks on the pillow cases, mold in the spare toilet paper roll over the toilet, car air fresheners hung up over the doorway to cover the marijuana and cigarette smell, cooked food in the microwave, mold on the tray where they had water glasses and stains all over the carpet and the walls. Priceline said that they could do nothing and sent me to the front desk. I showed pictures to ****** at the front desk and we were told we would not be charged since we didn't stay for an hour. ****** said he would contact the owner, Meet ***** and I was given a business card with his name written next to his wife who was also the owner, ***** *****. The next morning at 8am (4/24/22) my wife contacted Priceline about the issue where she spoke to someone who said they would try and contact the owner to make sure we wouldnt get charged. After seeing a charge on 4/25/22, my wife called Priceline and they stated they could not get in touch with Meet *****. My wife got in touch with Meet ***** on 4/25/22 to where he was extremely rude and defensive saying "If you don't like the condition of my hotel, there is a ******* *** down the road" and "People who book online do not understand that this is a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for". My wife explained that she didn't expect any extra amenities but the website states that they have high cleanliness standards.Initial Complaint

Booked online, pictures misleading. Horrible mildew smell, marijuana being smoked in the hotel, ashes on the headboard, clock and desk. We found a joint left having been partially smoked on our floor. Urine and smoke smell in a non smoking room/floor, breakfast ADVERTISED ON THE WEBSITE ONLINE and -NOT provided. Rude staff, disgusting and dirty bed linens with SEX stains and a cigarette burn as well as pubic hairs so we know the room was never cleaned or sanitized.( Requested new sheets). Filthy hotel, urine soaked carpet in stair wells and the stench was so bad we had to hold our breath. Fighting in rooms on the hallway, key cards inoperable. Was told no refunds, call **********. ************************************************** as well as ALL MY MONEY REFUNDED. We were in town for a wedding and we had to find alternative hotel. Would not be shocked if it has prostitution/sex trafficking. Pictures on my phone. $303 dollars for two nights. Stayed one as it was too late.
