      We contracted to have Blue Ridge Paving & Grading replace our asphalt driveway, and incorporate a trench drain system, that we purchased with approval from ***********************, the owner of Blue Ridge Paving and Grading. This work took place in May 2022. Shortly after the work was completed (late May), we observed two issues after some rainfall: 1. Asphalt was not properly sloped to the trench drain, so rather than running into the new trench drain, the water runs along the edge of the trench drain. 2. Driveway has several low points where standing water collects. Two additional issues with workmanship were also noted: 1. Asphalt has several deep tire tread impressions 2. Center seam showing signs of separation.We contacted ************ about these issues. He came out to look, and agreed that these problems existed, and said he would redo the asphalting of our driveway at no cost to us. We agreed to target late Aug. After we reached out to ************ in early August to schedule the work, the series of delays began. First it was weather, mostly valid, next it was his project commitment for the first half of Sep (presumably valid), after that it was a collection of reasons/excuses (i.e. equipment issues, sick employees), given only after we persistently attempted to communicate, mostly with no response. The only person that was responsive was ******, who would answer the company office phone. The work was finally scheduled for Oct 6, but ************ and his crew did not show up, did not call, and he would not answer phone calls or texts. We made contact with the office (******), and were called back by ******, who claimed that ************ was ill and doing office work, and that he would get in touch with us soon to schedule the work. As of today, Oct 30, we have heard nothing from ************ or his office. We no longer trust ************ to perform the redo of the asphalting, but would like a refund of the original cost of $5300 to cover alternate arrangements.

      Blue Ridge Paving did a fantastic job at my house. They paved a long driveway, walkway, and parking pad. They showed up in a timely manner to give me a quote and completed the job quickly. The owner and his crew are friendly and professional. Their experience definitely showed. They sloped the driveway to help with water control in my steep yard, rolled the edges in certain places to prevent sliding on ice, and the paving looks amazing. I highly recommend this company for any paving needs.
