Pettys was contracted to build a 426 stroker engine for my hellcat in addition to installing a Whipple Gen 5 Super Charger. I had initially been dealing with Eric H****. Eric made many promises on the motor; namely, that the engine would make 1000whp, be able to make that power all day long, not throw codes, and be covered under warranty. None of this happened. What I ended up getting from Pettys is a car with large amounts of metal in the oil. The car also rolled off the delivery truck from Pettys throwing codes. It has never worked correctly and even threw a code where it was not making boost because they did not set that up properly. The best part is what Pettys did when I let them know. Pettys has refused to acknowledge any thing. They refuse to accept a lab report from a national lab that tests oil. Pettys does want my samples which I imagine would end up getting lost as soon as they get them. Pettys has also actively been trying to get my reviews of the shop and work from pretty much every source. The car still throws codes and can not be driven as Pettys warranty states that if I use it, the warranty is void. So, the car is sitting. I have lost use of the vehicle due to the work done by the Pettys Garage shop. I called and spoke with Alex S**********, attempting to find a middle ground. Pettys Garage was unwilling to find any compromise. I do not want my vehicle in their garage on on their property. I am not the first to have problems like this as you can see in the other reports placed to the BBB. The engine does need to be broken down and checked for other issues as I hear a loud tapping from the drivers side valve cover over one particular intake as well. The dent on my hood is hard to see in a picture in the barnm as it was buffed over to hide it. However, the dent is in the middle of the hood but is small. For the money I paid, the time I waited, the damage done to the car while in their care, I dont want the car in their hands.
