I eat at Carolina Ale House "ALL" the time. On Saturday, December 16, 2023, I visited the downtown ******* location for the first time and the experience was horrible. We placed our order. When the food returned, my son received a chesseburger instead of a grilled cheese sandwhich. When the waitress was informed, she offered to correct it, but she had an attitude. While waiting for the remake, we noticed the loaded fries did not look right. The topping on it was black, however, we attempted to eat it anyway. The zingers were buffalo instead of the honey buffalo that we ordered. When the waitress returned with the grilled chesse, I advised that our zingers were the incorrect flavor. She proceeded to tell me that this location does not have honey buffalo sauce though every location has it. No one really ate the food. I asked for the check and we left. I called the location about 8 times before the phone was answered. The place was fairly empty because it was early in the day so it definitely wasnt because they were busy. I spoke to the superviosr ( African American) to let him know of my experience. I asked if they have honey buffalo sauce and he advised yes and he was uncertain why she said they didn't. He also advised that he remembered my order. He asked who the wautress was and offered me Ale House coupons. I advised that I did not want the coupons.Instead, I'd rather have my money refunded. He advised that he could not do that. I then mentioned I'd be filing a BBB complaint and a consumer complaint. It was not about the money, it was the principle of the situation. He then asked for my name and number and said his GM (******) was not there at that moment but would be returning and ****** would call me back that same day. The entire weekend has passed and no call from ****** or reversal of the transaction.This is unacceptable. Our day was already long and of all the places we could have eaten, we chose this location.
