            Transaction Date: April 17, 2021 We purchased a 2018 Nissan Maxima for $25,000 Westgate committed to provide us tint on the back windshield, buffing the passenger door and painting the back bumper. We scheduled the buffing and painting and the work was completed and we picked the car up. We were told the window tint employee was contracted out and is mobile so they would come to us, but he was out of town so we had to wait. We have called probably 10 times and keep getting the run around about the window tint person being out of town and it seems Westgate figures we will give up. The other issue is that Westgate sold us a car with a missing SD card. The SD card controls a lot of the functionality in the car, including the clock, navigation, and Apple Car Play functionality. We didn't realize the SD card was missing until we got the car home. We called the salesman and he said he would talk to the sales manager **** and get back to us. We haven't heard back about either issue.

            WESTGATE MITSUBISHI OF ******* RECEIVED AND KEPT A REFUND THAT SHOULD HAVE COME TO ME AFTER A PAYOUT FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY. A TREE FELL ON MY OUTLANDER SPORT WHICH TOTALED IT. I HAD OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES DEALING WITH THIS CIRCUMSTANCE. THEY TRIED TO GIVE ME AN UNITELLIGENABLE REASON FOR KEEPING IT. I HAD TO REFER TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. VERY BAD CUSTOMER TREATMENT!

            From information provided, the refund from the vehicle service contract is assigned to the complainant's lender to reduce any outstanding balance after the vehicle is determined to be totalled by his insurance company.  His lender will account for the monies and balance and any excess is then returned to the complainant.  That is how it was explained to the complainant.  Thank you.
