Pringle and Son did a good job on replacement of old central air unit but filed it as a failed unit with rebate center. It was still working . This caused a reduced amount $475 but should have been $700.

We're encouraged the homeowner is happy with the work that we provided.  Its unfortunate he is not understanding the process that *********** has set forth that we have to follow.  Based on Duke's guidelines (not mine) he does not qualify for the rebate he had requested. His old unit was NOT properly operating to qualify for ****'s early replacement rebate. I have no reason not to allow this if it would have qualified, because it cost me zero money to process it. Mr ******* was clearly informed that if the unit qualifies then he would get the extra amount but I am not going to falsely fabricate paperwork for a customer.  I told the *********** representative to have the homeowner sign the sworn afadavit to receive the rebate and Im assuming he wouldn't himself either.  Nothing I can or will do about this false claim.  ***************** policy, not mine.  This is the ONLY complaint we have ever had from BBB in 25 years.  I'm very proud and thankful for our track record. Thank you for reaching out to us.

I am rejecting this response because: Mr
.Pringle did not hear my unit operate .He did not say he wanted to hear it .It was working when it was cut off for winter He told me i would get 700 dollar rebate . i was not given a form to sign for **** rebate and assumed i  would get said amount of 700 dollars. I was very suprised wen i got 475 dollars.I contacted the rebate center which said they would send the rest  of rebate when Pringle and son sends proper form THAT I WAS NOT GIVEN TO SIGN. I worked in refridgeration for 16 years so i know when a unit has died. This is poor business practice as i was not given a form to sign as is stated on *********** website.  So people beware and make sure to get correct form from Pringle and Son or you too will be CHEATED OUT OF YOUR DESERVED FULL AMOUNT. This information is true and i was unfairly deprived of 225 dollars Because of poor filing of rebate forms. I want a refund.

      ******* Pringle

This complaint is complete fabrication by a disgruntled customer with no merit.  A technician attempted to remove the refrigerant from the old unit to disconnect it to be able to install the new unit in its place.  The old unit had almost no refrigerant in it to be removed.  By policy of ***********,  this constitutes a preexisting problem which deems a unit disqualified from Duke's "EARLY REPLACEMENT PROGRAM"  Mr. ******* by his own testimony declared that he has had to put refrigerant in the unit in the past.   Again, I will not under oath sign an afadavit declaring this old unit to be in perfect working condition in order to qualify it for something that it does not meet.  Again, Mr ******* was told that if we could get him the full amount that *********** gives for specific criteria,  then we would gladly try to process it in that manner.  BUT HIS UNIT WAS NOT IN PERFECT WORKING CONDTION TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS.   I will not be wasting any more time refuting this dispute.  He should be thankful he received any free money at all.

I am rejecting this response because: Mr. ********************** stated that Mr. ******* had to have refrigerant added to his air conditioning unit. This is not true. I did not tell him that. My unit never had gas added in its time of operation over the years. That is a big one--a fraudulent statement! I resent being called a liar. As I stated before his crew did good installation work, and I am happy with that. He said I am a disgruntled customer. That is not true. I am dissatisfied with your sloppy paperwork which caused me to get a reduced rebate. Before my install I was told I would get $700 dollars. But I did not get this. Mr. ********************** is evidently happy with his incorrect information on the rebate form. As I said before I have no qualms about installation Only the reduced rebate amount. I have two more properties I am reconstructing that will get new hvac units. However, I will go with another Get it Duke contractor--not ********************** and Son. and I will not be recommending this company to anyone in the future.
                                         Sorry Not Sorry                  Goodbye R.
