    Rental was booked July 17, 2021 for the week of May 14, 2022 through May 21, 2022. Rental costs were *********** Upon arrival at the home, we quickly noticed structural damage at the front side of the house, including scorch marks by the window. As we have always done, we checked the entire home and several guests went to go check things out. Here are the issues we encountered: Theater Room unusable. Bar TVs unusable. No outdoor music system. No Beach Access Balcony deemed unsafe - advised to use them sparingly. Ants on all counters - Kitchen, Bar Room, Theater Room. Structural damage to front of house. Cracked ceilings throughout house. Wall Sconces missing. Wires hanging from lower deck over the hot tub. Bees coming in through damaged roof/structure at front of house. AV tech states we should have been moved to another house. Electrical outlets not working Whirlpool Tubs not working In addition to that, I had to take time away from my vacation to personally speak with: 3 general contractors 2 AV technicians 1 pest control visit 1 Septic system visit 1 Whirlpool tub tech According to Property Manager ******, the house was struck by lightning on May 11, 2022. The entire group has agreed that we should have been placed in a different home based on the status of this home we rented. 1 of their contractors and an AV technician told us the same. I explicitly described all of these reasons to ******, the home's property manager. I asked for a partial refund of 25% or future credit with Resort Realty. I have also left ****** a voicemail asking for an update on status 2 weeks after I spoke with her. No one from Resort Realty has contacted me since then. The property's description: ***** & Only ***** ****** is the ultimate **************** rental! We invite you to experience a one of a kind, luxurious, oceanfront accommodation in an exclusive community setting in Duck, North Carolina." Not our experience!

    We reserved a beach house at *** *** ********* ****** *** * ** ******** ***** ********* ****** The sheets were not changed from previous occupants, food wrappers, sand, & human hair were found in the sheets. Trash swept under the bed. The hot tub needed servicing for 2 days before use, the private swimming pool required 3 visits from a caretaker due to a faulty pump. It was disgusting. We saved for our family of 13 to vacation, & it was ruined. Resort Realty was called, & offered no assistance. Ants all over the kitchen, the toilets wouldn't flush, I sincerely think there should be some type of partial refund being unable to use the amenities until day 3 of a 7 day vacation. Extremely disappointed. Most likely will not return to Outer Banks, & this was our first trip. I would be afraid of finding these conditions in any house,we'd rent.
