I rented a home from **** ***** in August. On the check in day, the home had not been cleaned by the contracted check in time. We were told both that the cleaner had fallen down the stairs AND that the owners were supposed to clean. We were also told that we would be issued a credit for one days stay because of this problem. When we did get in the smoke alarm was going off and could be heard loudly throughout the house. The next day we discovered that the internet, also in the contract as we had people working from home, did not work. This was never resolved. In addition, my son fell through a rotten board in the shower and cut himself and hit his head an outlet flamed and blew out my charger during our stay. My issue is that **** ***** put an unauthorized charge for linens on my credit card. They were never ordered OR delivered. They did issue the refund for one days stay, as they agreed to do, but they will not refund the linen charge, which is basically fraud, because they gave the refund for the days stay. These two issues are not connected but they are trying to claim that they are. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to resolve this . They agreed by text to refund the linen charge and then did not do it. Now a week later they are saying the case is closed and not responding to texts or phone messages asking them to call me. The whole experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I would like the linen charge which was never authorized and which is negating more than half of the refund I received, to be refunded.
