      This company is just another part of a larger "shell game" to avoid their debts and obligations. They won't even uphold a signed contract and simply quit responding to emails.

      I saw a listing for an unfinished 1-3 year old subdivision of theirs at **************************** and was disturbed to see boarded up windows and holes in walls. They dont look vandalized by trespassers they look intentionally broken by the builder. Sad. This house has been sold/foreclosed 3 times in 5 years.

      DO NOT DO any work for this company.!!!!They DO NOT pay their ***************************** They have multiple lawsuits against them for not paying their contractors. A clerk has filed an entry of default on 03/24/2025 in the District Court of the US for the Western District of NC/Statesville Division. Case No. 5:25-CV-00015-KDB-DCK.       Do NOT do any work for this company or any other companies associated with them, such as ***************. They will NOT pay you. My husband is a septic installer and installed septic systems for 7 properties for this company. He has been paid for TWO of the seven and ONLY because we filed liens on two properties that were sold and were paid out at closing. The other properties are now going into foreclosure and we will never be paid. Beware of this company. We are out over $75k at this point. We did hire an attorney to send a demand letter, but of course never heard anything back from them. Our attorney has advised us that they are essentially invisible online and must be good at avoiding paying bills and hiding behind multiple LLCs. Something should be done about this!!! Please save yourself and do not do any work with them.

      DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS HOME BUILDER!! I purchased a new construction home from this builder a few months ago and they are refusing to complete repairs that were noted in the sales contract. They are also refusing to honor their home builders warranty. I have been trying to get them to make repairs to the property for 5 months. They stopped communicating with me 2 months ago. I am now faced with a $85k repair. After some research I found that Helmsman Homes has a bad habit of not paying their contractors and are being sued by several of them. Also found that 5 of their builds in my area all have ***** on the deeds. Unfortunately, BBB will not allow me to file a formal complaint. I wouldn't recommend this builder if they were giving a house away for free.

      I am living in a home in **********, ************** that was built by this company. I received a foreclosure notice on the home that I am renting and have been paying rent to for almost a year. There is currently no contact information on the Internet about this company and I am seeking a refund for all of the money to the property management to this company that I have paid since it seems to be stolen from someone at this company Im going to this process where sheriffs are coming to my home to attempt to serve papers to this company for a foreclosure. There is a hearing date set for this Issue.
