This company sold me an extended warranty and lied that if I did not purchase it the bank would not finance the vehicle .They also failed to disclose the banks policy about late payments and their high interest rate. We were approved for one loan then told because we didn't accept it in time we had to go with this company and take my son off the loan . This company is a predatory company that preys on people trying to rebuild their credit and had several class action lawsuits suits they lost.We weren't told this . .Stay away go buy a car from a company that doesn't lie and doesn't force you to buy a warranty for their own financial gain .Business Response

This company Car Collection ***** is a dealership that offers vehicle service contract to consumers. We do not sell warranties. Warranties are for new vehicles only. This customer purchased a vehicle service contract by their choice and was signed for on the Retail Installment Contract. We are a dealereship and not the actual lender. We partner with lenders to obtain financing for consumers. See the attached documents. Car Collection ***** does not have any class action law suits.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
Service contract and warranty mean the same thing to me . However they told me that the finance company would not finance the loan if I didn't purchase the service contract. The service contract is cancelled now and they only refunded ****** and I feel that is not fair and that I was mislead on purchasing it .Business Response

After reviewing the customer's complaint of receiving the ****** refund. Let's be honest the customer was not refunded ******. This customer has a repossession with the lender that the complaint is in reference too. When the customer defaults on the loan the lender contacts the dealer to cancel any products that was sold to the customer at the time of sale. The monies that is refunded is then given back to the lender and not the customer to be applied to the balance at the time of repossession. This customer was given the chance to accept or decline any products sold at the time of sale at the dealership. The customer needs to refer to the form that was signed saying that you (the customer agreed to) purchased a vehicle service contact and gap insurance for this vehicle.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I was not refunded the correct amount to the loan after the warranty was cancelled. I was told that I had to purchase the warranty or the finance company would not finance the car .I was sold the warranty under false statements as the finance company said I did not have to purchase it . *** ****** who works there said the loan wouldn't be funded if I did not purchase the warranty. This has nothing to do with a repossession which is none of their business. This has to do with selling an expensive warranty and lying to get me to purchase it so they could make money . This is the last response from me they are not a reputable car business . They are forcing people to buy warranties in order to get financing I have witnesses to that statement by himInitial Complaint

I visited the dealership on May 8th 2024 to look at and potentially purchase a cargo van. I wanted to explore my options and see about trading in my 2008 ****** Camry XLE to serve as the down payment towards the van. I brought my own financing as well and purchased a ******** sedan from them. The dealership submitted an application for a title loan through one of their partners which was approved for $5,525. The loan was from ****************** Services in ******. Once the loan documents was signed the check was written out to Car Collection from Lendmark. The check was supposedly been used towards the down payment on the van. We agreed they were putting my Camry under consignment and once sold, they would pay off the loan from ****************** Services.Weve tried getting me approved through several banks, but havent had any success. The credit union has been waiting on verification from my employer, but my employer has yet to receive any emails from the credit union even after emailing the loan officer ************ told the dealership I no longer wanted to continue waiting on finance, but theyre refusing to give back the down payment towards the cargo van saying they have a no refund policy and the money is being used as a deposit on the van until we work something out. Now ** left responsible for a title loan on my car, without the funds or the cargo van the loan money was being used for. I also had outside financing from Navy Federal which I used to purchase a vehicle from them since I was trading in my Camry. When I called on the phone, ***** let me know if I wanted I could get my Camry back plus my title, but they dont offer refunds so I wouldnt be able to get back my title loan money and Im responsible for making payments on that loan. She also stated it wouldnt matter how many attorneys I acquired, I still wouldnt receive my deposit back. To top it all off, the original deal was for a 2016 **** Transit which the dealership has SOLD!Business Response

****************** came in to purchase two vehicles on May 8th 2024. This 2016 **** Transit that he has filed this complaint on pertains to ******. Obtaining property by false pretenses. On this day ****************** presented Car Collection false paystubs which was verified by the lender that approved his loan. I have included those documents from the lender as well as purchase paperwork and the copy of his falsified check stub. The calculations you can clearly see do not add up with the deductions. The deal was returned to Car Collection ***** based on this information. Upon speaking with ****************** personally he confirmed that he is a Uber driver and that he receives cash payments. I explained to him at this point that under penalty of perjury he had committed a crime and he was not entil He did take out a loan against a 2008 Camry that he owed free and clear to get the down payment money for the ******************** the amount of the refund he is requesting. ****************** wanted to consign his 2008 Camry with Car Collection **** prior to signing documents on the 2016 **** Transit. This was agreed on to try and help him sell this car so he could pay off the loan that was taken out to cover the down payment on the 2016 ****Transit. ****************** picked up the 2008 Camry on or about May 28th, 2024.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:The business is rejecting the entire complaint here. The complaint was filed because I placed a $5,525 down payment for a vehicle she just verified didnt go through. The dealership to this day hasnt refunded the down payment.

The attached documents explains exactly how you falsified your information. This is a crime in the State of *************** Look up the statue of limitations law that I provided in the previous response. And the document attached shows from the financial institution in which you were approved at the same. Falsified checkstubs.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
The dealership wants to make me at fault for not being approved for financing, but still doesnt come close to justifying holding onto a $5,525 deposit placed on a vehicle that I never took possession of.For a customer that supposedly had falsified documents, the dealership continued to use those same paystubs to submit to several other banks. I have all of my emails where I provided bank statements as well as my previous paystubs from jobs I worked. The only issue was the banks werent able to get in contact with my employer to verify my employment so they denied the loan. Which is out of my control.
Its sad to see a dealership treat their customers as criminals AFTER buying a vehicle from them. How does a customer trying to falsify documents come in with a perfectly legit check from Navy Federal. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. The dealership want to make their customers look like criminals.
To all future customers, dont waste your time! You wont receive the carfax, state inspection, nor will they fix anything wrong with their vehicles. Glad I didnt purchase the cargo van because for a vehicle to pass inspection when needing tires and windshield wipers is beyond me.
This dealership will continue trying to criminalize why I didnt get approved for financing, which ARENT false paystubs, but wont acknowledge how they havent returned my deposit.
If you look at their ****** and BBB reviews you will see theyve done this to SEVERAL customers! I have screenshots of SEVERAL COMPLAINTS! SCAMMERS!

Me and my wife had been looking for a Mustang as it was my dream car. My wife looked online and found this place. On September 10, 2022 we went up there to take a look at the inventory they had. They had a black 2015 Mustang GT available. We went and cranked the car up to take it for a test drive and instantly heard a noise. We asked ****** about the noise, and he reassured us multiple times it just got out of the shop and was in great condition, and the noise was just the car warming up. So ultimately we spent all day up there and got to bring our Mustang home that night. On the way home the night we got the car, the check engine light came on. We took it up to Autozone on September 11, 2022 and had it hooked up to the computers and the code it gave was for a cylinder 2 misfire. Car Collections, *** is closed on Sundays, so we had to wait a day to give them a call on that Monday. We called that Monday, September 12, 2022 and was transferred over to *****. ***** then informed us she would like us to take the car to "their shop" which is ******************. We ended up taking the car up to the shop a few days later. Upon arrival of the shop, a man got in the car and kept revving the motor while the car was in park. It seemed like he was redlining our car. A week or two went by with no correspondence. We call both Car Collections and the shop several time. Finally, after some shady convos with the shop and them assuming the dealership called us to let us know the issue, we were called to come get out car on October 11, 2022. (Keep in mind that we had a 30 day delaer guarantee that they would fix the car if it messed up within the 30 days.) So we went and picked up our car and got maybe 10 minutes down the road and the check engine light came right back on. We called ***** as we were heading home and she tells us to take it to AutoZone again. We did on the way home and lo-and-behold cylinder 2 and cylinder 4 were misfiring. I have much more to say but it will not allow.Business Response

Car Collection ***** is a used car dealer in the ***********************. The consumer has stated that they came to the dealership on September 10, 2022 which was eleven months ago and were given the opportunity to test drive the 2015 **** Mustang that has been mentioned. The customer proceeded to test drive the vehicle and came back in and was ready to proceed to give their credit information to see if they were able to get the loan approved. Finance was able to secure approval for the customers for that 2015 **** Mustang that has been mentioned. The customers did leave that same day with the 2015 **** Mustang. Our customers always have the option to purchase a vehicle service contract and gap coverage if they choose to do so. The customer chose to purchase the vehicle service contract through an outside third-party vendor. And note that we do not have a service facility for this dealership. The customer's signed the Buyers Guide which is a State form in ************** stating that they are purchasing this vehicle As Is with No-Dealer Warranty (see attached) and the customers also signed a statement saying Statement of Purchase of Non-Guaranteed Used Car (see attached). The customers also signed a We Owe form with their paperwork stating that no work was owed to them (see attached) as well as a customer satisfaction form (see attached) and a Wavier of Benefits form stating that they purchased a *************** contract through an outside third-party vendor (see attached.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: We also have a paper with a 30 day guarantee that I can attach. We did purchase a warranty with this car, which was not able to be used as the car has aftermarket parts that we were not informed of. They sold us a warranty we paid for but could not use which they should have known that. I feel we were mislead as we clearly asked if anything was wrong with it. We were also mislead by ***** many times that she would get this fixed and then went on to ignore us after she suggested we take out a loan to fix the car they sold us with a messed up motor. Very bad business to not back your products especially when the check engine light comes on an hour after we get it home.Business Response

Good afternoon and thank you for your email. I see that the customer has rejected the response given however and stated that they have a paper with a 30 day guarantee on it. I will need to see what paper the consumer is referring to. We do not have a 30 day guarantee on any vehicle that we sell.
******************* contracts are purchased with the financing or outside of the financing. ******************* contracts are purchased through an outside third party vendor which is at the consumer's discretion on the one that they chose. We have brochures displayed here at the dealership for the consumer's to decide which product may best suit their needs.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:
I will find the paper when we are back in town. But furthermore, we were sold a warranty which we paid a good $500+ on that we could not use since we were not disclosed of aftermarket parts which the dealership should have had info of and should have known that the warranty would not cover it. Why suggest a warranty when it cannot be used? Also we were strung along for a good 3 months trying to find a solution with ***** to then be told we should take out a loan to fix the car. the check engine light came on not even 20 minutes on the way home the day we got it and we informed ***** of such. She wanted us to take it to ********* which then proceeded to cover the metal shavings with new oil. Then ***** said she was going to talk with the warranty company to try and get them to fix it but strung us along again to then just ignore us. Sad when a company will not back there product especially when it seems like the code was just cleared to get it to sell.Business Response
