  I havent been a patient at Bailey Orthodontics in over 7 years, but based on recent reviews, my experience still applies and thats a problem.Yes, they take most insurance plans, which makes them convenient. But they severely overbook. Your appointment time typically just means getting moved into a second waiting room, where youll sit and wait again for who knows how long. Even a basic retainer check once took over two hours.Most of the orthodontic assistants were kind, but some were unnecessarily harsh. If you had a broken bracket or your teeth werent spotless, theyd scold you in front of everyone. To make matters worse, if you were coming straight from school (as many patients did), you were expected to brush your teeth using a cheap disposable toothbrush in public, right there in the second waiting room. Then youd get embarrassed for not brushing well enough. It was humiliating and unprofessional.The retainers were another major issue. I was given soft, plastic mouthguard-style retainers with no wire. Even with good care, they warped and stopped doing their job. My teeth began to shift, and I eventually went to a new orthodontist for proper wire retainers. Thats when Baileys office tried to file an insurance claim on the remaining orthodontic benefit despite not seeing me in over five years. They claimed they were entitled to all funds under my orthodontic policy. Thankfully, my insurance provider denied the claim, but the fact that they even tried is outrageous.And what pushed me to finally leave this review? Years ago, when I was still a high school student and an active patient, I left a 1-star review pointing out how long appointments always took. Instead of owning it, the office called my parents and tried to get them to make me take it down.I cant support a practice that treats patients like this. Insurance coverage isnt worth this experience. *****.
