I am writing to express my deep concern regarding unresolved issues with my daughters apartment, which she occupied in mid-August. The apartments initial condition was deplorable, necessitating thorough cleaning and sanitization. Additionally, the unit was not move-in ready, resulting in significant delays. Our maintenance request, submitted via the designated portal, detailed multiple issues, including fly infestations due to neglected vent maintenance, aslow-draining bathroom, broken cabinets, unclean vents, and lack of smoke detectors. Despite three requests, these issues remain unresolved. This situation is especially troubling given the housings focus on students, where safety and security should be paramount. The broken gate key box poses significant security risks, as evidenced by a recent disturbing incident where someone attempted to force entry into my daughters apartment. To enhance security, we intend to install a Ring camera, requiring adequate internet access. I request prompt acknowledgment and a comprehensive timeline for resolving these critical issues.

On 8/18/22, I was to move my son into an apartment in this facility. The apt was infested with mold. I refused to move my son into this apartment which was also extremely filthy. There were trash bags and other waste stored right outside the apartment door and had been there at least 2 weeks. This apartment unsanitary and unsafe. After complaining to the housing area, we returned their keys and left, but there are still 2 other teenage boys living in that filth who have no one to stand up for them. My son paid 692.32 on 8/8/22 for his first months rent and 156.95 on 8/18/22 for a move-in fee. I complained to the front office about the condition of the apartments. One staffer apologized and stated that the apartment they gave my son was one of a few that she told them needed to be shut down. Upon looking at my son's rental agreement, the apartment he was told to move into, is not the apartment that's on his lease. I was given the name of the manager Tayler W*******, whom I contacted via email on 8/19/22 with no response. The Fair Housing organization is trying to contact the manager also.
