I contacted Mr. *********************** on Monday 2/26/2024 for a plumbing appointment schueduled for 10am on Wednesday 9/28/2024. I called the morning of 9/28/2024 and informed them that whatever the outcome of the service moving forward the invoice would need to be transferred to a third party that was ready for future payment of services. *********************, of Mr. *********************** refused to come to my property and refused that arrangement. He then refused to refund my $50.00 fee that I had already paid. I never received any service or good for fee transferred.

On 05-12-23, I requested an emergency dispatch from Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Alamance County due to an outdoor spigot which caused water to flood from the exterior of my home, and the interior, streaming from walls and coming through my hardwood floors.

Mr. Rooter replaced the outdoor spigot with a 1/2" Frost Proof Faucet. However, I discovered that I was manipulated with this repair.

First, Plumber 1 demonstrated after the new spigot had been installed, that all I had to do was turn off the outdoor faucet because the compression value of the spigot had already shut off the water coming from the pipe. He stated that as long as the facet remained turned off, no additional leakage would have occurred. He stated that I didn't even need to shutoff the main water to the home. Had I been informed prior to the repair, I would have denied service. Secondly, I discovered that I was charged $629.74 for a 1/2" Frost Proof Faucet that costs no more than $30. Had I known, I would have denied service. Thirdly, I realized that Plumber 2 intentionally acted as though the old spigot could not be removed by unscrewing it in a counter-clockwise motion. Using one hand with no effort, he gave the impression that he could not unscrew the spigot. Both plumbers stated that the only option was to cut through my interior walls in order to remove the old spigot. They did not attempt to perform any other preliminary tests. I informed them that my home was no more than 8 years old, so as licensed plumbers, they should have the understanding of the type of piping found in 8 year old home. Just as easily as I observed them screw in the new spigot, they could have easily unscrewed the old spigot. I have the same exact spigot on the other side of my home.

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Alamance County manipulated me with this repair. To mitigate this matter, I want to be reimbursed $629.74 for the cost of the spigot.
