They painted the exterior of our brick house (doors, *****, trim, handrail on front steps, lamppost, etc., not windows as they are vinyl clad), and they painted a bathroom. The bathroom was painted a fairly dark blue and I wanted it to be a very light tan. It took 4 coats, 2 of primer and 2 of the paint. They were very neat, put down drop cloths from the front door to the bathroom to protect the floors, taped around anything that could not be removed (e.g., the window frame and tub). They did an excellent job, and none of the blue shows. They were equally careful about outside work, putting up tape and barriers to keep paint off the brick. When they painted the handrail they put down a protective layer under the rail to protect the steps. They sanded/smoothed/caulked anything that needed it. They replaced some wood on the ***** that had rotted. They went to great lengths to find some molding that matched to replace a piece that had rotted on the end of the roof. Every member of the crew was polite and worked hard, no lounging around. **** made a point of saying that if I found any problems after they finished to call him and they would be happy to make it right. The whole experience went very well. I highly recommend A & J Painting.
