Our house caught fire on 5/22. We hired ServePro to handle our contents. This included, packing items that are salvable, trashing items that were not, and cleaning our couch. They would then take all of our items to storage. I have 4 main issues: 1-The packing was sub-par. My knives were thrown in a box, not wrapped. My kitchen aid was literally laying on a 99 dollar ceramic bowl. My 400 dollar kitchen aid pots and pans were just thrown in a box un wrapped, with no barriers to scratches. I have pictures of our poorly wrapped boxes. 2 - We had a box of salvageable items that were packed by ServePro staff. The box was left in the garage, where there is a big hole in the wall from the fire. I have pictures of these items. These items were rained on. I complained about this issue, and when we returned the boxes were gone but I am not sure of the resolutions. All the items were wet, so I have yet to determine what was done with these items. If they went to storage, these items will mildew. Ironically, when we back to our home, my husbands tool box was sitting in the same place, luckily we caught it before it was rained on. 3-This job has taken over a month. While our garage wasn't available initially, it was cleared by the fire investigators 2 weeks ago and it still has contents. We have an entire bathroom that hasn't been touched, and ServePro started services over a month ago. We have now hired a company to do demo and rebuild and in order for them to move forward, my husband and I 4-My neighbors have complained about the lack of professionalism of the employees at our home while were have been away. They report smoking and lunging on the front porch. To be honest, I wouldn't even care about that if the work was being done, but we have a screen in back porch, I would think that at least that would be used as opposed to having the neighbors complain about that. They have offered ring cameral photos of this behaviors if necessary.
