    i purchased a set of rimmscand had a wheel lighr kit installed the did not complete the wheel light kit by leaving one of the wheels disconnected. installed wheel lock lugs all on the front tires nothing on the rear and when i took my car back to get the wheels aligned my car came out of the shop with the ac cranked on high and smelling like marijuana

    I took my daughter car to Kustom Car Toys on July 4th and purchased a system and installation. After waiting several hours they finally said it’s all done. The bill was paid and we got in the car to leave but a major issue was noted. The car would not go in reverse. I was like what the heck! Every light on the dash was lit up. I called for the manager Ray and he messed around a little bit on the car and then took out his cell phone and googled for installation help. We got there right at opening time and it was after closing time the Ray said take the car to Battleground KIA for servicing. Ray did pay for a tow truck to tow the 2022 KIA Rio but he left to go home before the tow truck arrived. He said he was closed and he was going home and he did just that. Anyhow according to the dealership service department the stereo system was not wired correctly. Because of this the car computer system was damaged. Ray said he will pay to fix it so the dealership examined the car and had to replace the computer. Once the computer was replaced some of the modules still didn’t work. It was going to take extra labor to determine how to fix these issues. The dealership and myself have been trying to make contact with Ray but each time we try calling him we both get the same message; Ray is not there he will be back 45 minutes. We call back in 45 minutes and are told the same thing over again he will be back in 45 minutes. The dealership tells me that they go through the same thing and are told the same thing when they call Ray. I have went there to Kustom Car Toys a few times and their door was locked. I stayed as long as I could but I had to go to work. It been a month and a week and my car is not fixed yet. All because no one can get in contact with Ray. He has one more week to come out of hiding before I drag him into court. I wish that I had checked this company out before doing business with them.

    this is ray with custom car toys. i agreed to take the car to the dealership to find out what was the issue. after reviewing and searching and also talking to the dealership this issue is common in those vehicles. this is a notice from hyundai "In March 2019, Hyundai Canada announced a recall on 255,000 cars and SUVs for the same exact thing—to perform an update to the engine control module in order to detect potential problems before the engine fails." i also agreed to pay for a rental and also agreed to pay for the initial check up cost for the vehicle. at this point we strongly believe the bad eco is not caused from any work we did. this issue happened from disconnecting the battery. also Hyundai is issuing a software update for this problem. this is a known issue with hyundai.
