              We had contacted the gaston gazette after they automatically renewed our subscription for last year to not do it at the end of our renewal subscription. Forward a year and they charged us $415 to renew again this year. We contacted them again about it. No refund could be issued just let it go for another year. That's not acceptable. Then they bargained with my wife for a $227 credit to cancel subscription. So that's wrong to.

              **** the Gazette is both dishonest and unethical in their practices.On 12 13 21 I called to cancel m subscription ( our **** was due the 17 according to the statement we had received) However, I was told the **** was actually due on the 2nd and we owed some $15.00 to which I told the lady to cancel the paper and send me a ****, she said she would. After receiving no **** and the paper for about 10 more days, I called back and was told I now owed over $40.00. When I asked why nothing had been done on the 13th I was told the only way they would cancel was when the **** was paid in full and they kept sending the papers and running up more on an account that should have been closed out. Had the lady on the 13th told me I had to pay right then by credit card to stop the paper, I would have done so, but I was never told any such thing, only that she would have a **** sent. So basically hussled me out of more money.This is truly a way to hussle unknowing people. Others need to be made aware of their tactics.
