We hired ********************** and Bentley to install an inground pool for ** in June 2021. At the time, most pool companies were 18 months out from having a pool installed. Mr. ********************** said he could have our pool installed by September 2021. We paid him the required down payment of $28,000, with the remaining balance due upon completion. He began working on our project with minimal effort. At best, he or his guys would show up sporadically and only work for a few hours. Mr. ********************** contacted us several months into the build and asked if he could pause the build so he could get caught up on other jobs and that our pool build would be the top priority in April with a completion date of May 2022. We agreed. Our backyard was unusable; he left his backhoe and a massive hole in the ground for months. In February, he returned and resumed digging. Again, he or his guys would show up sporadically and only work for a few hours. In June 2022, Mr. ********************** started asking for more money each time, promising that our project would take priority and be completed within three weeks. In November of 2022, after multiple missed completion dates and with a total of $50,200 paid to ********************** and Bentley, we could no longer continue doing business this way. We contacted an attorney and served ********************** and Bentley with a demand letter to complete the work in three weeks, or we would hire someone else to finish and hold him responsible for the cost. We have yet to hear back from Mr. **********************, nor has he refunded the money received for work that he never completed. Once we started hiring other contractors to complete the work that he started, it was clear that Mr. ********************** was not as knowledgeable as he presented himself to be. We had to have some work re-done, pay for parts that were missing and never installed, and pay for things twice, and with the increase in materials, we ended up paying double what a pool should have cost. Mr. ********************** took advantage of us and has yet to contact us to rectify the situation.

On December 22, 2022 we signed a contract with ***** Dunbar and his company *********************************************** to build ** an in ground pool with overflow hot tub. The contracts states the work would be completed by March 31, 2023. We paid $20,000 as a deposit. As of today July 27, 2023 he has not done any work and will not refund us our deposit. My husband and I call every week for an update and he always says next week. He has not done any work except city coming out to flag our back yard for the location of our septic tank and he spray painted the lawn where the pool would go. He refuses to give us our deposit despite no work being done.

There was an original contract in place in 2022 for a in ground pool to be done. Its been over a year, many excuses, more $$$ to be thrown out and no pool to be done. Workers not to be found, deaths in family, no capital, excuse after excuse. There was a hefty $$$ put down to start the job and get it done. There is no real business operation behind this company its just full of lies and money taken from me. Between conversations with other buyers and research on this company there shouldnt be a dime to be given to him or any work done on these properties. He will come out start, look around maybe stay an hour but take another month or two to make an appearance to get a little done. Agree to weekends to be present to finish and will not show up any weekends.

We paid $18,000 and signed a contract on Aug 3 2022 for an inground pool. That money was to order the materials and permit per a text exchange. Work did not start until January of 2023. Work is incomplete as of July 21 2023 on a 4-6 week process. He has stated that he needs investors to secure capital to finish our pool per my conversation today and has no idea when he can finish the work. Last time he/laborers were on our property was June 2023. We have a huge hole in our yard. The pool has walls up, concrete on the bottom and the slope, and that's it, with a PCs pipe up the side and the deep end. His work ethic is poor, communication is poor, and I feel like we have been lied to on many occasions. The only ***** we can give is the delay in the permit(Nov 2022 he picked it up) He has given us many dates for completion and never shows up to steadily continue the contracted work. To be given $18,000 for materials, permit and deposit on a pool kit that was quoted as $13,*** and to not have the materials you told me you ordered is concerning. To also tell me you met with investors to try and secure funds to finish my contracted work, is concerning.

Hired ***** Dunbar LLC to provide my family with an Inground pool , he dug a hole , has created a safety hazard of my backyard and abandoned the job with no work completed after the initial digging. Cashed checks I paid him per contract and did no work. Does not communicate and will not come out and do the work hes been paid for ahead of time. According to his contract he owes me every ***** he has been given because he has performed zero labor involved in his contract breakdown and bought zero supplies associated with my inground pool. Im left with a hole for a backyard and have to now hire a lawyer due to no morals, work ethic and a ***** that belongs behind bars . I would like ALL my monies returned due to no work performed and this hole of a backyard filled in and sodded. He has violated all state trade laws and everything in between

02/15/22 signed a contract to have a home extension done by 07/2022. Contract was half down and other half upon completion. I provided half, per contract, work began. July 2022, minimal work completed and contractor requesting more money due to increase cost in material. More money given, three months went by and no work done. A year later, work still not complete. Contractor continues to finish the job but never comes out. Contractor has gotten all money owed except $2,000 and my house is still unfinished. Work pieced together and unfinished. Contractor continues to promise to complete the job two weeks ago and has not come to my home. I've sent pictures of water coming in, problems with the bathroom toilet not flushing, but he has not come. I had to hire another contractor and pay out more money for things I already paid Dunbar(***** Dunbar) to do. I don't have steps to enter into the back of my house, when a deck is part of the contract. My son has on old couch with the steps they removed from the house, laying over it so we can enter the house in the back. Dunbar takes trusting people's money and uses it to do other jobs and leaves people hanging. I tried to give him a chance as a small business but I will never do that again. He has destroyed my trust in small business. I want he to be held accountable and stop taking innocent people's money.

My company is not out to beat im in business to save home owners money and increase there property value. Typical bathroom addition cost: $25,000-40,000 for a 58 room with a tub or shower enclosure. An average size kitchen addition without bells and whistles: $25,000-50,000
Room addition cost (400 sq.ft.): $30,000-100,000. This project was started before the material we either non existing or price was increased upwards of 300% due to covid. My company is in business to make projects affordable. National average for this type of addition is upward of $80,000. It was said in the complaint that I was using money from there job to complete other people's job. Not true there is over 20k in material and 16k in labor. All of this was accomplished in the middle of a pandemic. My company suffered at least 6 deaths be it workers or family members. We had an agreement in the beginning that towards the end the home owner would possibly have to help financially. I reached out and was told there was a hardship. We received a call I think in Dec and Home owner was have a family function and need drywall hung. I paid about $1000 in material and $2000 in labor. I was told there would be some funds given to help but was not. Home owner **** other contractors without written notice some that worked for my company. Going foward I'll do any thing in my power to resolve this. On top of the 26k I've been paid I have an additional 20k invested. I think that more than being held accountable
