I am lodging a complaint against Bull Financial as we speak, for not issuing me a receipt for payment. I have requested a receipt 3 times without response. Twice in person and once by email. At this point I have threatened to take them to the ******************** ***************** for violating the Constitution and Consumer Protection Act 100. This act states that, you are supposed to issue a customer a receipt for any transactions that total more than $75.00, or the business can face penalties. Bull Financial is not a company that I would borrow monies from or want to do business with.

Years ago, I moved out of an apartment and into a house. The final two months there landed on the first two months of the house lease. My roommate was left alone at said apartment due to this. Fast forward two months and he ran the electricity bill up to over $600.00; it was in my name. He decided that he didn’t want to pay any of it. We parted ways and he never held himself accountable. I carried so much animosity over it that I refused to pay it.
When the debt reached an age of 5.5 years, I outgrew my anger and realized that I needed to pay the debt that was justifiably owed to Duke Energy (even if I wasn’t the root cause of it). Duke explained that it was now a debt with BCF. I challenged the debt on my Experian report due to what appeared to be minor date errors. BCF told Experian that the dates were correct (which is fine), but my credit score dropped 30 points because they added one late payment to my report. This late payment never happened, because I never agreed to a payment plan or even spoke with anyone from BCF.
I called the company to clear the debt. But when I called, the line would ring busy or tell me that it wasn’t a working number. Over two weeks I couldn’t get past this, so I spoke to an attorney and sent a debt validation letter and also requested that BCF validate the (false) late payment. BCF’s response was received late, which they blamed on USPS. They only validated the debt, too; they couldn’t provide a single shred of evidence over the (false) late payment.
When the debt expired, I had actually been watching my credit very closely for a total of two years, and the BCF page showed the collections debt that always read that it would fall off in October of 2021; I took a screen shot for proof. When October of 2021 arrived, BCF “updated” that page and the information about the fall-off date was deleted in an effort to keep the (now expired) debt on my report.
I submitted the proof and Experian handled them at that point.
