We have been dealing with Presto garage doors and gutters since at least October 1, 2021. They told us after we made our initial $1900 deposit someone would be there in a week and a half to start install. My wife was handling this at the time and had to chase down the sales man by phone for 4 weeks to get a answer as to where they were at. They finally responded saying our garage door was held up from the manufacture. We were fine with that given all the covid-19 issues with production, we were however not okay with the lack of communication and disrespect from them. Next they finally came out to start work at my house, they tore down the existing garage door and discovered a rotten header board behind the door and explained we had to have it replaced. Thats fine I could clearly see it was rotten. At this point we have no door on our garage. We scheduled a trip Nov. 5-7 2021 all paid with no refunds. I cancelled it due to their appointment time. They were scheduled to show up November 6, 2021 at 9 am (same day as our trip) which they never showed or called. We finally tracked them down again their excuses was we sent a new quote over last night (nov. 5) for you to approve. They never called or anything just a email on a Friday night. The estimate was $2,500 more than the original price and seemed outrageous to me so I asked them for a itemized invoice so I could see allocated costs. They would not give me one. I felt I was being taken advantage of because they still had the door in their possession and I had a huge gaping hole where my garage door was. They had us at a loss. I honestly felt they were trying to take advantage of my wife because she is a woman and that is where I put my foot down on them. All I asked for was receipt of services that Ive paid for so far with my $1,900 and just let me know if the door is paid for and if so please drop it off and if not let me know so I can order a new one. I cannot get a answer either way. Presto is horrible!Business response

We are very sorry for any issues. Unfortunatley, when we sent out our rep to take off the old sheet metal and re-wrap the jambs around the garage door, all of the wood including the support beam over the top, was completely rottd away. When the estimator that sold them the job, could not have known all their wood was rotted. The old metal had to be taken off before we could see the rotted wood. The price we gave to correct this was to replace the wood and that engineered beam for it to be correct. That is a longer process and would have required 2 employees. They had stated to me that they would need other beams to hold up the framing while they pulled that beam out. We did not want to take any shortcuts and the customer have issues in the future. I do apologize for you didnt receive the quote sooner.
We do value all of our clients- over ****** customers. We strive to do a perfect job every time. I hate this did not happen for this client.
We have deducted from the invoice the items the client no longer wanted such as the motor and the wood. We have agreed on a price and we have set up delivery for all the other componets for the client so that they can install themselves or someone else.
