My husband purchased a 10Kt yellow gold paper clip bracelet for me from the concord ***** location today February 9, 2023. The clerk cut the tag and put it on my wrist and I wore the bracelet out of the store. I did not get a box or bag. My husband did request receipt. Five minutes after leaving the store I noticed that my bracelet clasp was not all the way closed and the end it was attached to was a link in the bracelet. There was a missing end piece. I returned to the store asking for an exchange and the clerk and owner originally said yes. Then they changed their mind and argued with me saying I took the piece off! My husband arrived and asked if they were going to refund his money or exchange the bracelet they said no and we left. Im very displeased with them. I read the return policy on the bottom of the receipt that you have 7 days to exchange an item. This item is defective and they refused to exchange it for the same bracelet (there were two more in store). I believe they should replace this item or repair it for free.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I live three hours away and I asked for a solution the day of and literally 5 minutes after purchasing the defective bracelet. I was not offered an exchange for the item, or repair of the item, or a refund. I have already solved this issue myself by putting the bracelet in to a jewelry repair shop who will put the missing piece on for $55. So unless the business is offering to pay me back and reimburse me monetarily - Im done.Business response

I tried calling the customer so I can assist her with her concerns, but didn't get a call back. If customer chose to take it somewhere else to do some work, that's absolutely her choice. I have responded promptly to the reviews and this complaint and really can't do much to help unless the customer brings the item to the store.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I have no desire to speak further to the owner of this jewelry store. Again the bracelet in question was brought back to the store immediately after purchase. I showed him the problem and no solution was offered. He said no to an exchange. He said no to a refund. He never offered to repair defective bracelet either. I included pictures with my original complaint. Im done with this whole situation. Im dissatisfied with his service and will not shop his store ever again.
