    Contract signed on 21-JAN-2023 for new shower and new bathroom floor tile off master bedroom. 50% of total contract price of $15,638.12 was paid by check with signing of contract and cashed by Solace Showers on 18-JAN-2023. At contract signing owner ********************* of Solace Showers stated that based on their current work my project would be started in April and would take approximately 7 to 8 days to complete including tear down. The custom shower glass would be measured once tile was laid and that would take a further 3 weeks to be made and installed. It was communicated by ********************* on 27-MAR via voicemail that the project would start the week of 24-APR. Workers did not arrive that week nor did we receive any communication from Solace Showers. Work finally started on 22-MAY. The project is still not complete as of 07-JUL. Remaining work includes measurement of the custom shower glass, drywall and trim repair, shower hardware installation, clean up of grout spills on tile and fixing of color inconsistency of grout. Per contract the contractor agrees to perform and complete work in a reasonable amount of time. We are well beyond that given the scope of this project. The owner ********************* has been negligent in returning calls, texts, emails and providing communication for this project. The last day work was performed was on 22-JUN. No communication has been received from the owner of Solace Showers since the morning of 20-JUN. A certified letter detailing the history of the project was sent to Solace Showers on 30-JUN and confirmed received by **** on 03-JUL. The letter requested to have the project completed by 14-JUL including the measurements for the shower glass. No response from Solace Showers as of 07-JUL. I want the project completed as per contract by 14-JUL including measurements for install of custom shower glass or cancellation of contract so I can hire someone else to complete the remaining work.
